Finally watched the last episode. Yep, nah. I feel like I'm watching a drama... a really corny drama. And too many people staring off to the horizon. No fun, no thrills, no excitement -- where's the superhero in this superhero show? And did I miss the train fight? What ever happened to the train fight? Did I dream that?

I don't like the new outfit of his either, very CW to me. White mask highlights those black 'glasses' like Urkel.

Yep. The best part is Zemo's valet blowing up the supersoldiers.

I have yet to even get a wiff of Newsmaxx.. Wasnt that the network Trump was going to buy?

I don't know if he was going to buy that, but it's one of those really far right outlets that rose up when Fox wasn't far right enough for some people. :rotfl

With this series turning out as bad as it did I'm glad that it got delayed so that these characters enjoyed a full two years after Endgame before being tainted.

Disney - "You all excited for some original MCU tv shows?!"

Disney after wandavision - "Ok, people need to temper their expectations of these shows a little."

Disney after FaWS - "Ok, we need you to REALLY temper your expectations..."

Can't temper it with What If and Loki coming up. Of all the MCU shows announced, I had the lowest expectations for FaWS. I am really excited for Loki and What If though.

Ok the US government was so impressed by how this show tackled social issues that effective immediately every person wrongfully incarcerated for 20 + years shall be fully compensated with a statue of their choice it can even be made by Prime 1 if they like.

That statue should be sufficient enough to address all of your hardships that came from that incarceration.

The government does expect a hug in return though they are not asking for much here a little hug goes a long way.

Bucky and his G-Man soap are ready.

I had the highest expectations for FWS. Not just wishful thinking since my fav MCU character and another fav were involved; IMO it was a no brainer to do a frenemy buddy cop style movie with lots of interesting action. Like Expendables or something.

U didn't even need to explain your characters or skill set. Huge amount of comic material to draw on. A former good guy counsellor dealing with another guy out of time who has some questionable ways of handling an issue, plus having the shield. Lethal Weapon type stuff. Do some jaw dropping action. Throw some poignant moments in.

All the parts were there to do something amazing and they botched it, except for Walker and Zemo. If the previous movies had never happened, or comics, I wouldn't give *&^% about either character. Not that Sam and Bucky resemble the characters I knew anyway. Yeah, there was Covid messing things up; but that doesn't explain a *&^% script.

Now I don't have much hope another fav of mine - Loki - isn't gonna get the cartoon cheese corn treatment.

"So, I gave you my shield and all you did was make a speech about a ******* terrorist and give the Power Broker access to government secrets."

Can?t wait to be lectured about modern socioeconomic disparities by Eternals cosmic beings from over 7 millenniums ago:yess:

I understand that Eternals is going to have the first openly gay MCU superhero, and he?s black too! Can?t wait to see how quickly the Eternals thread gets closed after that movie comes out.

All discussions about the underlying motives behind the show?s narrative aside, I thought the show was excellent! Loved all of it!
Enjoyed the villains.
Enjoyed Walker.
Loved the Sam as Captain America reveal.
Enjoyed Zemo.
Even enjoyed Sams family and the boat.
Guess one persons trash is another persons treasure.
I am sure that I?m not alone, maybe just on this thread.
Marvel will be encouraged by viewers that had the same response to the show that I did and and realize that they are on the right path.
No one wants to be proven wrong so they will definitely take the positive feedback and dismiss the complaints as a tiny, vocal, minority of viewers.

Not too quickly I think. Many people don't seem to give a **** about the Eternals. They can do whatever they want to those characters with little backlash...

Most sentiment around the world... "The Eternals?? Who the **** are they??" :rotfl

I HIGHLY doubt the Eternals will be a repeat of Guardians Of The Galaxy, that is turning an unknown group of characters into household names. Especially with all the SJW politics & diversity they seem to be cramming into this. The only chance for success is to quietly sneak Thanos into this and then hope people want to see it just for him..

I have absolutely no desire or interest in watching The Eternals. Maybe when it's added to D+. If I'm still a subscriber by then that is..

You're not alone; plenty of people (at least from comments I've read on the 'net) are happy about one thing or the other; or love the whole show.

Like Peter Jackson had said; you make something and put it out there and hope people will like it. IMO the show had moments of real brilliance, which makes it even more frustrating, for me. More like a line from Ultron - to the showrunners - "I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through".

And I would hope - and I wouldn't respect - a showrunner that at least doesn't consider some of the more consistent negative comments. You can't please everyone; but consistent negative comments from a wide variety of people - IMDB reviews, is one place - are comments I'd at least consider. Otherwise, are you making something for yourself, or for the audience? Disney also has to consider the merch angle - the more folks like something, the more licensed stuff you can sell.

Like I hope, for Black Panther 2, that Ryan Coogler at least CONSIDERS that the CGI needs to be paid attention to, because the audience is used to jaw-dropping CGI at this point. That M'baku is a scene stealer and maybe make more use of the character.

That Malcom Spellman at least CONSIDERS the audience is used to spectacular action scenes, with interesting choreography. That if you're gonna give a speech in a movie, it had better be a heck of a speech. If you don't consider what went right, and wrong; you don't have that first season excitement any more to bank on. I won't watch anything else from this showrunner without reading a lot of reviews first.
