In the cartoon he teamed up with frealing everyone

Daredevil, blade, fantastic four, punisher, x men,
That was just the norm in the cartoon.

Sure but there were more episodes of him not teaming up with anyone. Since they seem to be going the ultimate route with this, the whole Avengers angle works perfect, and like I said before it's an organic way to integrate Spiderman. I just don't think this was the only direction to take the character in.

Just like Homecoming :lol :yess:

Imagine if Robert Downey Jr. was the voice actor for those 90s cartoons. Half of the budget would be for his salary and the animation would probably be stick figure tier.

But if this was a straight up origin story where uncle Ben gets shot again then the fanboy rage would still be large.

I recall you hating the asm series

Yeah, I did, especially the second one. I didn't hate it because it wasn't a team up Spider-Man and freirnds movie though. We're assuming that just because someone liked/disliked one thing, they should be head over heels about something else. There are hundreds of different ways to make a Spider-Man movie.

Also, this is better than ASM2

The best were the IM3 days. If you dared to voice dislike for how they butchered The Mandarin there was an immediate apologist retort like "The Mandarin always sucked in the comics" or "The Mandarin was racist".

Now its "Tony Stark was always Peter's mentor" and "Spider-Man rose from Stark's tutelage."

Nonsense.

And those episodes were animated poorly and looked cheap too. :lol

My point is that spiderman teaming up is not unheard of. It is not a radical thing to do. Black cat used to show up a lot in the cartoon.

He has more comics and cartoon episodes on his own thats true,
But team ups are not that rare, im used to see spiderman team up so i dont feel weird about this trailer. It looks normal to me to see spidey team up with iron man. Looks just like the cartoon.

I would prefer daredevil to show up on the spidey movie or madame web would be nicer than tony stark but tony stark is ok. It fits.

Who in this thread said that? Nobody likes that stark is peter's mentor including me and I hated im3 .

Well, nobody said in those exact words he quoted but people pointed out that Iron Man has in fact, mentored Peter MULTIPLE times. I mean, a good half of Civil War revolved around Peter and Tony. Heck, Tony gave Peter a brand new Spiderman suit full of gadgets... JUST like we are seeing now.

I don't disagree with anything you said, I was just pointing out what you originally said about this being the only way to take the character which I don't think is true.

I also don't think people have much of problem with him teaming up with IM but how essential Iron Man is now to Spider-Man's character and his villains.

Ah yes I see.
