I can give two ***** if it makes more money than The Force Awakens.

If its good, I'll praise it. If it sucks a **** I'll detest it like most of the MCU.

*The people on this thread championing Spidey as Tony's ***** must have HATED The Raimi films where he made his own bones.

But that's the nature of today's fandom. Ultron is turned into a jokester imbecile, Mandarin into a moronic stage actor and now Spider-Man into a poor man's Iron Man ---> and the fandom loves it & eats it all up because of that Marvel Studios banner.

We had 5 movies of peter on his own.

It is ok to have one with peter with a mentor.
Thats it.
Has nothing to do with marvel fanboyism. In fact it is very stupid to assume anyone happy for this movie is just a marvel fanboy.

This is the best thing that could have happened to spiderman right now.
Amazing spiderman 2 was dog crap garbage that destroyed its own franchise and ruined plans for spin offs based on aunt may and the sinister six.

Marvel came and made spiderman exciting again.

So the instead of waiting for the end of a phase of films to get a team up movie, it seems the new trend is to do minor team ups until you shove the entire roster of characters in one movie.

BvS - The trinity with cameos from the rest of the JL

Thor Ragnorak - Thor and Hulk vs the universe

CW - pretty much every superhero in the MCU minus Thor and Hulk

Spider-Man Home Coming - Spidey and Iron Man with a Cap cameo

Deadpool 2 - DP teaming up with Cable

Antman and Wasp teaming up with Hawkeye

Looks like Logan is the last superhero movie to actually take out as many supporting heroes as possible.

Widow could be Pete's mentor, they travel down a forbidden road both left tarnished and devistasted. The sequel being Pete accepts the Venom suit to harness his pain and rage while Widow comes back to save him.

Pete has a mentor that isn't Stark, it's a team up film that could expand two films. This isn't too difficult. :)

I swear nobody is ever happy. People wanted him in the mcu , and now we got him and it's not enough. cause asm made soooooo many people happy .

To be fair, we only saw Batman interacting with people in his pocket universe until Batman V Superman and look how that turned out :lol

There is way too many Spiderman stories to think teaming him up with Iron Man was the only direction that could redeem Spiderman in live action, but it's also hard to argue that it was a bad idea since everyone seems to love the second trailer.

Yes its becoming silly they are spending so much time on these side characters and neglecting the villains. They could have cut out all these side stories and cameos and focused on Thanos since he is the ultimate villain, but instead we get side plots and supporting characters. Ant- Man already had a supporting character in wasp who also doubles as a love interest why do we need Hawkeye.

Make a low budget movie to reach in Jan with him and Blackwidow you can use the most recent comics Matt Fraction run or something don't shove his in this

In the cartoon he teamed up with frealing everyone

Daredevil, blade, fantastic four, punisher, x men,
That was just the norm in the cartoon.
