Thanks i knew it would be like this. Seems like young modern 20's somethings and beta males are extremely impressed by this.

Spiderman nothing new or special on the big screen now- will see drop-off on second weekend to judge if this will fizzle out quickly

I don't think the first and second movies will be matched cause there was a magic to them. Something really great that we've never seen before. We waited so long for these characters to be out on film and now here they were. Then we got spoiled and now superhero movies are the norm and seeing some of these characters is inevitable. Seeing doc ock poster for the first time was insane cause nothing like that has bee achieved before

Absolutely right. I remember when the Marvel scrolling montage intro used to cause a big stir. Everyone clapping, whistling, fist-pumping. Not just for the MCU but the Sony movies before them too. That magic died after Phase 1.

That magic might be gone but I'm still enjoying the hell out of all(most) of these flicks. No fatigue here. I'm looking forward to all we have coming

I don't see it having WW legs, but I think it'll do plenty fine

Pretty much, I was just shocked at how boring the movie was, and it was pretty damn long too.

The movies main focus is establishing Spider-Man's role in the MCU, that's really it.

Lol what a ******* thing to say. I guess you gotta be a 45 yr old alpha top dog to hate this movie? Jfc the things you read on the internet sometimes.

i lold at the WTF ending.:lol

flash got shamayladingdonged.
MJ is trailer park delinquent material.
...i mean, aunt may is more bonertastic than MJ.

the principal looks like the same asian guy in cap's first avenger team.haha

It was the same guy. Marvel is stupid for doing that. Next Hugo Weaving will be playing a uber driver on Capt Marvel.

as stupid as having a character in a Spiderman movie call herself MJ, when apparently she isn't really going to be the MJ -
although I find that so stupid that I can't quite believe it and I think there must have been some kind of miscommunication/misunderstanding.

Yea IDK WTF :monkey1. I'm far from either of those things and I really dig this flick.

All the talk in this thread made me want to do a Spidey marathon. Just watched pt. 1. I still enjoy and appreciate it but I have to say it just made me appreciate Homecoming even more than I did.

at least he kept the mask on when he's spiderman unlike garfield's stroll on campus wearing his costume without the mask.lolz

you mean the trailer park delinquent isnt the real MJ??

i still lol'd at the way they shamalaydingdonged flash. from flash thompson to flash thakur.:lol

I just thought of something about this movie that brings Civil War down a notch. The beginning takes place during or just after Civil War where Rhodes got shot and fell from the sky. While in the car with Stark Peter never asks how Rhodes was doing nor does Stark seemed concerned at all that his friend was just badly hurt, the Avengers were split, that his team mates were in prison or that Cap was a fugitive.

True, but we only see a couple of minutes of the car ride. Who knows what they discussed before. Plus, Tony usually seems to hide his concern and depression by deflecting things with comedy.
