Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Miles, but if they're gonna use him, do it later, when they inevitably recast everyone and the MCU moves away from the classic characters, not now that there's a chance to put the most complete classic Marvel roster together (since the X-men and FF aren't going anywhere anytime soon).

I could see them wanting to miles first because they don't need a spiderman movie to make marvel studios any more successful. I could see them using miles until one of the original cast members hangs it up and that franchise is in jeopardy of no longer making the money it can make, such as iron man, then they bring in peter parker to reinvigorate the marvel studios films and make a sure fire money maker.

The thing is, there are enough black/asian/latino/ect characters in CB. Just use them if you need some pointless diversity.

Or pick the least race-dependent characters: Mysterio, Chameleon, Scorpion, Hobgoblin, etc.
Worked perfectly with Kingpin so why not.

I don't get changing established mythos over and over to FORCE diversity. Just use actual black comic characters. I think they just want to cause controversy amd FORCE their personal agendas. Whatever..........

Actually, I'm not sure you couldn't have a black Peter Parker. I could go for that. He could keep the key elements that make him who he is, just a different race. Not that I think it is necessary. But to replace Parker with another character would be the worst.

I agree with you, but if you're going to rank order the sins that can be committed here, making a cosmetic change isn't the end of the world IMO.

While we're on the subject of race last night's Oscars was certainly an evening of absolutely stunning black women: Zoe Saldana, Kerry Washington, Lupita Nyong'o.
