20 bucks they are going to put the song God Of thunder by KISS in the movie :rock :D

Or.... Thor the Powerhead from MANOWAR

'' Black clouds on the horizon
Great thunder and burning rain
His chariot pounding,
I heard the heavens scream his name

I watched as he shouted
To the giants that died that day
He held up his hammer high
And called to Odin for a sign

Thor the mighty, Thor the brave
Crush the infidels in your way
By your hammer let none be saved
Live to die on that final day
Gods, Monsters and Men
We'll die together in the end

God of thunder, god of rain
Earth shaker who feels no pain
The powerhead of the Universe
Now send your never ending curse

Swing your hammer to crack the sky
Lift your cape so that you might fly
Back to Odin and the Gods on High
And leave this mortal world ''

We don't need some roid monkey, Brad Pitt will do just fine and he can act which will make the movie enjoyable as opposed to someone like triple H or the American Gladiator guy.

:rock:rock i want both songs to be in the movie :monkey3

Pitt aint my first choice. But he never bores. Size isn't everything. Bruce Lee was only 5'7" and think about how much his skill and charisma carried him through. Pitt has a lot of baggage but if he is cast you can bet that the cash will be there to develop the film to the fullest.

There are vast differences between Bruce Lee and Bradd Pitt besides size, but I get the point. Pitt is a talented actor, and it just seems he'd be wasted in a part like this. He's great in certain kinds of roles, but he just isn't convincing in the ancient warrior category for some reason, and it's not because of his size. I just think they could find someone much better suited to the part, and it really doesn't have to be a major Hollywood star. I'd rather they put the cash into making a great story instead.

I was surprised and disappointed when I first heard that they were considering Brad Pitt for the part but the more I thought about it the more I got sold on the idea. While I agree that someone like Triple H would look the part better, Brad Pitt is a real actor. I think when it comes down to the enjoyment for the movie it is more important to have good actors than people who look the part but can't act.

With Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark and Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, the reality is that whomever is casted as Steve Rogers and Thor Odinson will have to be real, legit actors to pull their weight in an Avengers movie. Sorry, Triple H may look the part but an actor he ain't.

With the way that Marvel Studios films are going looking for actual performances and not just looking good and phoning it in (Tobey you hear that after that crapfest SM3?) an actor who can really sell the role is a 10000x more needed than someone who just looks like Thor and their performance will convince everyone of that.

I always thought Brad Pitt would not be a bad choice for Cap if they made him look rugged enough. Now that Marvel is going after Matthew McConaughey I don't think Pitt would be a bad choice for Thor.
I have been debating with my friends for years over who should be Thor. They say Tyler Mane and while I agree he would be a great choice he is also too tall. In the Marvel U Thor is only 6'6" to 6'8" and if you have somone who is almost 7' playing Thor who will you get as villains?
If Pitt is Thor I can imagine him fighting guys like Nathan Jones they way he fought him in Troy. A person like Tyler Mane could play a frost giant or any other number of gods. Hell, he could play Hercules since those 2 gods have fought in the past.
Either way, Troy sold Pitt for me. Even if he is lacking in height he will still be a good choice for the God Of Thunder.

This is an excellent point. It's obvious that Marvel is thinking of the whole franchise and Norton and Downey (and Sam Jackson) aren't going to be that enthused about sharing the screen with "that American Gladiator guy" and "some wrestler". Probably the best justification stated yet for going for Pitt. But that also means it's Matt Damon for Steve...:p

Id rather Matty Damon for Steve than Mathew "look at how big my head is" Mcaunahey. (Dont care if the name is wrong, hate that man)

Did anyone else notice that the author of that scathing review thinks Marvel Studios did all of the Marvel superhero movies? Iron Man was their first, wasn't it?

:lecture

I know Pitt can transform himself into a character. He's done it before. And as Mike said, Marvel is looking for good actors who can pull off a role. Triple H or many other know strongmen just don't have the chops to do that. Brad is a good actor and I am a big fan of many of the movies he's made. Besides, he needs another standout role. This is a perfect chance.

I really wish that the studio's wouldn't use big name high price actors for these Marvel and DC movies. I think it makes it harder to accept the character (because you see the familiar face) and it cuts down the chances of getting a sequel. At least with the same actor.

Soo I guess you missed where if they are in for one movie they are in for at least 2 more AND the Avengers flick?
