Turns out the dentist took his sweet time and I missed the first showing. I swinged by about 20 minutes later, and asked how many folks showed up. The answer was... 0. Yikes... Guess folks here are all about Tony & Cap... Shame really, as I did want to see this, and with Labs and all now, I'll have to wait for the Blu-Ray... Eh, I did the same for pretty much every film in 2017, so...

PS: The Sequel better have Namor...

do you only get one monthly trip to the city out of your village?
do you go by carriage or something?

Oh no, it's just that I've moved to another city (larger), and the cinema's about 20 minutes into the centre, whereas in my home city it's about 10 by foot. I take a 5 hour trip every month to go back to my old dentist for braces (had them since I was 12, first doctor ****ed my mouth up, made everything worse, and now I'm wearing them again; problem is, the second doctor, who's older and experienced, is back home, so I have to take trips from Uni and come back), so I figured I'd catch the flick then, on my "free day". Now I have too much workload and can't waste an entire night on going to see it.

Us enlightened, High IQ, folks, have Physics and **** to do.

...I'm still studying Physics. I'm prety much a trust-fund baby, I don't pay for anything. It's just that I kinda ****ed up my previous Semester according to my standards, so I have to do some extra stuff for the upcoming Labs. Every day is basically a free day (all hands on deck, I haven't been to class in a year and some change...), it's just that right now I can't sacrifice a whole evening and night to a flick, when those hours can go to doing something productive.

I thought it was good, but not great. I felt like they took the bad*** out of T'Challa. He was a revenge-seeking machine in CW. But in this one, he is outdone by his family and Killmonger. He is perhaps too regal and not direct enough. He is one of the smartest superheroes in the Marvel Universe. I talked with Christopher Priest at Planet Comic Con in KC this weekend. He was hoping Marvel would break the mold with a big third act fight and have T'Challa outwit his opponent. I've seen others express their fatigue in a big third act fight scene on this board too.

I think the movie, while all the actors did a great job, had too many characters. I think Wakanda will be prominent in IW and Feige wanted all these characters introduced since they seem to play an important part from what we've seen in the IW trailer. But I wanted more T'Challa, Killmonger and KLAUE!

Saw this yesterday. Liked it a lot. It's a familiar almost Shakespearean story told through African culture. The cast was great and I would see it again. Same gripes as others questionable cg, and it gets a tad slow in the middle but it picks up fast. Wakanda looked fantastic. There was a scene with two characters talking at night with the city in the background. I swear it reminded me of Coruscant. Definitely getting it on bluray.

One hour til movie-time, I generally resist the hype, but I feel that this movie will make me feel transcendant while it finishes my taxes.

Hope I'm not putting too many expectation into it...

rulk added his own opinion that came out of seeing the movie. if you wanna be mad at anybody be angry at the director, why would the director add such a heavy and racially charged line into the movie?

think about it, why would they film such a realistic and emotionally strong line in a children's comic book movie
.

It's not a children's comic book movie. At all.

Coogler should be praised for having made something meamingful instead of more bull**** like Strange and CW.

The last thing people should be is mad at Coogler for elevating a genre that tends to be inferior to all other cinematic genres.

>MILF Gillian
Muh ****.

Makes me wanna finish X-Files and move on to the newer stuff for more Mummy Gillian.

What can I say? It's not my fault. It's just that

A lot...

Shame she's not a natural redhead, but she's a natural blonde, so she's not losing any points.

yeah Im not saying that Coogler didnt make a very deep movie, but it is silly to try to avoid the politics of a political movie lol.
And like i said, Im 99% sure he wanted these kind of "******* arguments" about race and humanity.

So, in other words, you're telling us that it's "silly" to enjoy a political movie without taking the political aspects into consideration? I'll have you know I enjoyed the Hell out of the movie and thought it was a really good CBM without even paying attention to anything political. I'm sure there's some big stuff that I missed, but I very rarely to never engage in politics for good reason.

Chadwick really dug the art I did for BP and shared it on all his social media pages. So Awesome lol

Congrats! :duff

Saw this movie yesterday with some friends and students. Everyone really liked BP and thought it was good.

While it did have it's slow moments, I think overall the movie was well done. I thought the cast was great and had good chemistry.
