I don’t have the heart to clap back at Ms Winfrey for mis-spelling Wakanda

Or that it’s actually a fictional place

The ending line from Killmonger is probably the greatest line I’ve heard in a very long time.

It’s tragic really I mean he didn’t get the memo that his ancestors sold and enslaved those people on the boats

What? You talking about in a movie sense or historically?
Cause most slaves were captured and even if other Africans sold slaves they would be captured as well. Which is why in slave ships there was no unity to fight cause they were all from different warring tribes.

But if your talking bout a movie sense then wakanda had nothing to do with selling slaves.

Don’t even know why you brought that up . Doesn’t matter who sold who. The line was still well delivered

Taken from Wikipedia because I’m not getting into this with you at 3AM but you are free to watch the History channel... Africans had African slaves before North America was colonized. I brought it up because what you said was factually incorrect.

Slavery has historically been widespread in Africa, and still continues today in some countries.

Systems of servitude and slavery were common in parts of Africa, as they were in much of the ancient world. In many African societies where slavery was prevalent, the enslaved people were not treated as chattel slaves and were given certain rights in a system similar to indentured servitude elsewhere in the world. When the Arab slave trade and Atlantic slave trade began, many of the local slave systems began supplying captives for slave markets outside Africa.[1]

Slavery in historical Africa was practiced in many different forms: Debt slavery, enslavement of war captives, military slavery, and criminal slavery were all practiced in various parts of Africa.[2] Slavery for domestic and court purposes was widespread throughout Africa. Plantation slavery also occurred primarily on the eastern coast of Africa and in parts of West Africa. The importance domestic plantation slavery increased during the 19th century due to the abolition of the Atlantic slave trade. Many African states dependent on the international slave trade reoriented their economies towards legitimate commerce worked by slave labor.[3]

First off why bring this up? I’m talking about the movie.

Secondly. Wikipedia is not a reliable source and I’m not getting into this either on a toy forum.
Doesn’t make American slavery automatically ok just cause Africans had slaves.

Who cares who sold who on the ship . I’m talking about the movie and how good kilomonger’s line was. Not about how bad ****** was in the past .

to be fair His line is connected to REAL history... so you cannot just try to talk about a "Comic Book movie" without bringing in real history into the talk specially with his line acknowledging a real situation

thats Why I said i think it is funny and silly to think of this like a Spiderman movie when this is like a V for vendetta.
Sure... v For vendetta is just a "Comic" movie, but it deals with a lot of real life issues and problems... you cannot talk about V For vendetta as a "Comic" movie without touching on the real life issues it spoke about like homophobia.... come on dude.... come on.

Im not getting into you guys conversation because I haven't seen it but I know what the line is and it is silly to mention the line and expect no one to bring up the reality of slavery......
bro really? that last line was no politically charged into making you think about the real cases? really bro? really? come on, really?
and it is funny to diss wikipedia because he can easily post 20 other sources on that issue. kinda silly actually.

Are you saying Nothing in wikipedia is real, trustworthy or true? really bro? really? come on.... Really? are you gonna play that card ?

Vibraninum made under wear[emoji23], either way best dam marvel solo movie till today. Finally they can make something worthy of watching. Kill monger a great villain I hope comic movies can really use the subject matter and make great characters and compleing villians.

I just went to see BP yesterday and I think the reviews I've seen have been a little too positive. It's a good film, sure, but not the Source of All Awesomeness some people seem to see it as.

I think it went on a little too long for the amount of story it had to tell, and the social / real world commentary stuff was a little too heavy. I get that the social injustice stuff was a large part of Killmonger's motivation, but it felt like I was being beaten over the head with it every five minutes.

Not a story issue, but I as also a bit curious about the Wakandans' aircraft controls... as cool as it looks, replacing a joystick with a theremin is a bit silly, since you wouldn't get any physical feedback,
and the whole crossing and uncrossing arms thing for the super weapon is far less efficient than just pressing a big button marked "zap everything"
.

I was also a bit miffed, given how Civil War ended, that we didn't get a scene of Killmonger with Captain America. Not for story purposes, just so we could have had two Human Torches on screen together :)

thank you for the review

Something that bugs the snot out of me in Marvel movies:

This 'remote pilot' crap.

It takes any hint of drama out of the scene. IM3. GOTG2. BP (multiple times).

I *hate* it.
