This movie had to get just ONE THING right for me to fully embrace it and welcome it into the quality MCU side and they went and ****ed it up lol

Black Panther

Action

That’s it.

But no.

Superman freaking Returns had better action lolz

So this really is the new TLJ thread... just the people here have switched sides. Perfect. :lol

I think i want to be on jye and khevs side now. I need redemption

Hell yes.

And I can't help but notice that those of us who thought that BP was a step backward from CW aren't weeping and wailing and gnashing our teeth and running off to foreign box office sites or pulling YouTube videos from various nobodies to find any statistic we can to invalidate the critical praise or box office success of BP. It is what it is (a commercial and critical juggernaut) and I'm quite content to sit back and let fans of the movie enjoy it even if I don't think it holds a candle to other recent blockbusters, MCU or otherwise.

Just sayin'.

Yeah but because no one dares to make the kind of negative videos that people made of the last jedi.

The only people criticizing black panther on youtube are the alt right

Yes, someone might say "but action wasn't BP's main priority" but that is no excuse to have supbar action during the sequences that called for it. At the end of the day a movie that deals as equally in high tech espionage as it does in savage tribal warfare should *not* have worse action than a wacky space comedy like Ragnarok. Action was never Nolan's focus either but the Batpod/truck chase blew everything away in BP. 10 years later a movie about a high tech super ninja with an unlimited budget and a decade in VFX advancements shouldn't be playing second fiddle.

Fortunately I fully expect the Russos to make up for it next month.

I just hate that a movie can't stand on its own when critics judge it anymore. It has become more about what it means in terms of it either contributing to the cultural narrative or how "problematic" (*shudders) its themes are. Plot, characters, pacing, ect. has pretty much become secondary to whatever values the film is promoting whenever you read a review.

And this film is just a perfect example of it. Slightly above average flick with enjoyable enough story; but praised as one of the best films of all time.

BP >>>>> WWE Raw with superheroes

Rhodey is gonna be pissed when he finds out Bilbo got a vibranium spine while he’s pooping in state of the art Stark diapers.

If the hyperspace maneuver in TLJ was a universe-breaker for rectally distressed fans I hope BP explains why he’s not bringing a fanny pack of vibranium Tide pods to the Epic Battle in IW. Otherwise the stakes are pretty low.

If they can drive cars by remote control
Surely they can fly ships too.
So they should be able to control a bunch of ships against thanos. Shoot his army....

Since iron man can control dozens of suits, they technically should be able to take down all their enemies without any deaths...
