I get a much intense climax from watching black panther CGI fight Killmonger in that Tron monorail system...
I achieve multiple climaxes thought the entire movie bro. When they are fighting the CGI Rhinos... that right there brings me to the edge brother.
I actually erased all my **** after getting a copy of this movie for home viewing bro. I dont even need those other videos. this movie is all i need My brother!!!

Especially when you're young, I remember somebody trying to explain to me why MIB was the best movie ever. It was just the most recent movie they had seen.

My two cents:

It's a really good movie for many reasons. Whether you enjoyed the story, the acting, the action, the message, etc, I think this movie resonated on various levels with a lot of people. If you didn't care for the action, you may have still enjoyed the story. If you didn't care the acting, you may still have enjoyed the message.

Regardless of why, you can't argue that millions of people really enjoy this film and see something very special about it. I think we need to credit the director, producers, the cast and everyone involved for making a darn good movie. That's all there is to it, IMO.

For me the only two movies that have ever and probably will always be considered the best are Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Empire Strikes Back. The rest are just good, ok and meh.

I have nothing against the teens and the kids that love this movie actually. I don't think I have ever mentioned anything about the young people loving this movie.
I am happy if they find such joy out of this movie.

it is the grown ups that seem rather weird to me. I seriously dont see how can someone say this is not just the best marvel movie but the best comic movie ever made. those people are definitely not being genuine i dont care what you guys tell me. those guys are on the hype train. I understand a person saying they love this
But when they claim this is the BEST comic movie ever made, that sounds like a political post.

The audiences I've been seeing BP with recently have been older. Some grandparents age that are enjoying it. Most of the teens and young people that were curious already seen the movie by now.

a lot of marvel movies have the characteristics you mention. thats the problem. this movie is part of a franchise. this movie came out just after Civil war.
This movie is in the same franchise with The Winter Soldier and Avengers 1. This movie is just as good as Iron Man 1

Why arent people praising marvel overall? or praising the introduction of Black Panther in civil war? thats kind of where my annoyance comes from. A lot of the people praising this movie online didnt even bother to watch Civil war.
And some of those people are ONLY going to watch Infinity wars because of black Panther. Of COURSE people were going to love Black Panther. it is After all a MARVEL movie.... all of marvel movies are good. some of them are better than others. but you will always have a good time with Marvel movies .

I dont care if someone loves this, but some of the praise sounds very disingenuous. a lot of those people never watched Winter soldier or avengers. I just dont like fake fans, or what you call in the music industry, posers. If people were praising Marvel for making such an amazing franchise then i wouldn't be annoyed by this

Hey if it takes a movie like Black Panther to bring more non Marvel or Comic book Fans in then Cool. There will be people playing catch up rewatching the other Marvel movies in preparation for Infinity War. There's nothing wrong with new fans Loving and promoting Black Panther.

The thing is that some folks seem really worked up about its success as if it could hurt them in some degree.

If you don't like something it's fine, I personally find LOTR boring but I'm able to see why others enjoy it and that's perfectly ok. No need to remind them all the time that their taste differs from mine and call them crazy for it.

I liked Civil War, but was really let down by that movie - and I think the T'Challa character was overshadowed by so much going on in that film. So for me, they could have easily made Civil War without Black Panther. It didn't due the character any favors and was a missed opportunity. That's part of the reason I was impressed with this new film - they really made up for his lackluster debut.

I agree with you though that isn't the best Marvel movie. I enjoyed it a lot though, and I would say top 4ish (for me). Iron Man, Winter Soldier, GOTG are the others that beat it out on my list. Now, if people didn't see those films, then I get why they say Black Panther is the best Marvel film to date. (They have also missed out on some awesome Marvel films though. )

I also agree with you that Marvel deserves a lot of credit for having this vision dating back 10+ years and executing it that way that they have. I think a lot of fans (including myself) forget that though and are spoiled. So when movies movies like IM2 and GOTG2 come around, they're labeled as 'duds'. But in reality, they still are pretty darn entertaining compared to the heaps of other films we get in the same genre. I get your frustration - you make some good points.

I dont hate this movie. I never did. I praised some things about it. I still love the women in the movie and what they did to them.

but brother, a bunch of people have said this was the greatest comic movie ever made.... specially that first week. some people were saying that it was better than dark knight... I dont care if the movie does well, but as a fan of Dark Knight those words are trouble. and calling it best comic movie when we have movies like 300 or sin city is also problematic because it just shows those people have never seen comic movies. or arent comic fans. I dont like that.



no sir. thats not my point. A marvel movie doing well in the box office will always be a good thing. More people watching comic movies will always be a good thing.
this can lead to more obscure comic movies being made by studios. maybe we even get a new SPAWN

my ONLY problem is people ignoring or denying the political undertones in the success of this movie.

THATS what i was talking about. I would go as far as to say that watching this movie might be unconsciously defying and denying the trump presidency.

Maybe people dont realize they are doing it, but i feel like in the back of their minds, watching this movie is like giving the ALT Right and trump the middle finger.

It feels almost like a revenge thing for whats going on and because he won. Kind of like why Wonder Woman did as well as it did... same principle. it feels like more than just watching a movie. Watching this movie feels like a message.

(Even Killmonger does this... "attack the colonizers?" , come on guys seriously?)

Avatar did as well as it did BECAUSE of the advances in technology and the great use of 3D... Avatar didnt reach the success it did because of the story or the acting... CERTAINLY not the acting... Avatar was an average movie with an average plot that was greatly enhanced by the technology that was used.

ask yourself, what was it that enhanced Black Panther to become as big as it is..... thats my point... what did this movie had that gave it that Extra Bump.... thats all im saying.
