I never said it would beat Avatar. Even I know beating Avatar is a steep climb. It did beat The Dark Knight though. That must really grind your gears.

but brother, a bunch of people have said this was the greatest comic movie ever made.... specially that first week. some people were saying that it was better than dark knight... I dont care if the movie does well, but as a fan of Dark Knight those words are trouble. and calling it best comic movie when we have movies like 300 or sin city is also problematic because it just shows those people have never seen comic movies. or arent comic fans. I dont like that.



no sir. thats not my point. A marvel movie doing well in the box office will always be a good thing. More people watching comic movies will always be a good thing.
this can lead to more obscure comic movies being made by studios. maybe we even get a new SPAWN

my ONLY problem is people ignoring or denying the political undertones in the success of this movie.

THATS what i was talking about. I would go as far as to say that watching this movie might be unconsciously defying and denying the trump presidency.

Maybe people dont realize they are doing it, but i feel like in the back of their minds, watching this movie is like giving the ALT Right and trump the middle finger.

It feels almost like a revenge thing for whats going on and because he won. Kind of like why Wonder Woman did as well as it did... same principle. it feels like more than just watching a movie. Watching this movie feels like a message.

(Even Killmonger does this... "attack the colonizers?" , come on guys seriously?)

think about it. people are almost making black panther the number one movie of all time

Avatar did as well as it did BECAUSE of the advances in technology and the great use of 3D... Avatar didnt reach the success it did because of the story or the acting... CERTAINLY not the acting... Avatar was an average movie with an average plot that was greatly enhanced by the technology that was used.

ask yourself, what was it that enhanced Black Panther to become as big as it is..... thats my point... what did this movie had that gave it that Extra Bump.... thats all im saying.

Trust me, most people here saw what your points were from a million miles away, they just don't agree with them.

You are entitled to your views and they are very respectable, just don't expect sympathy or validation for them because such things are never guaranteed. Learn to own up your opinions popular or not and carry on. It is what it is.

People said ragnorak was the best marvel movie when it came out and it got a fresh rating and everything and that movie sucked imo. Nobody is swapping out white people or anything . Holy crap . Relax

People just love it cause it’s a black movie set in futuristic Africa with positive looks on black people. That’s it.

And also we had politics inserted into every comic movie this past decade. Tdkr was full of this crap.

it feels unfair to all the other people that worked on marvel. specially the people that worked on marvel before marvel was a thing. it feels almost offensive in a way to say that this is better than iron man or avengers or dark knight. People that say that dont understand anything about this franchise. Now I doubt if you do Ehollywood . I doubt if you ever cared or had any respect for the other movies in this franchise. or the writers and directors of those other movies. Also, should we make Batman black now? or Superman? im not even against that Idea, but DC Must be going "GOD diggity DAMN! fire Ben Affleck as batman and get me Iris Elba on the phone NOW!!!!! Ok Boys, we are going to beat Avatar for sure now!"

This has never happened before though. We have never had this kind of political comic movie ever before. Thats why I wonder about it success and I wonder where people are coming from. I wonder where people stand with this movie

this is not a movie anymore, this is a political movement. (And thats fine, just ACKNOWLEDGE it at least)

everybody in here. No one wants to accept that the reason this is doing so well in the box office is because of the heavy political stuff behind every ticket.

I find the movie to be somewhat shallow with not much for Killmonger or T’Challa to do and the instant Civil War just came out of nowhere plus the action is absolutely underwhelming hell Blade 1 BLOWS BP AWAY in the action dept.

The females were great though and the best action scene was when the Dora brought Killmonger down to his knees but you blinked and it was over.

Listen i’m happy that black children have this movie with a cool looking hero and society to look up to and want to emulate certainly the movie was good enough to deliver what they were hoping to see.

It gets boring always just looking up to your parents priest or pastor as role models because they don’t have toys made out of them lol.

For me it was a middle of the road MCU movie no more no fuss.

The movie is truly a first of its kind and no Blade doesn’t even come close to the structure of BP (but I prefer Blade 1 over BP).

Tell you what though everything BP related in that new IW trailer looked bad *** and not Phantom Menace like so i’m looking forward to seeing the expansion of BP and his gang (oops wrong term my bad lol).

Now when is Straight Outta Compton 2 and Roots reboot coming out lol
