TDKR as a follow up to TDK is much more painful experience than WW to JL lol
Oh god much much more.
or as painful as Black Panther was a follow up to the excellent Civil War?

I remember peoppe getting all excited when JGL was cast in Rises because they thought he was taking over the Joker role. The fans wanted more Joker from what I saw.

BP wasn’t entirely ruined like Batman was in JL.
Dumbest thing was not calling that guy D!ck Grayson. Who else better to assume the Batman mantle?
I don't know, watch the Knightmare sequence in BvS and then literally any scene in JL...ouch, lol.
Yeah he was just kind of neutered like Han, Fett, and Vader were in ROTJ. But not past the point of no return (as RO spectacularly proved.) So BP can still be awesome in IW.
Wasn’t his name Blake? What a stupid decision. Who thought doing that to robin was a good idea? Robin is a great character. He isn’t just his weird 60s version. Teen titans robin was a badass
Yes so strange to go with John Blake. Imagine if in all of BB Bruce was called Steve Johnson and then at the end some lady goes, "What's your middle name," "Batman," "Oh you should definitely go by that," lol.

third movies in a trilogy are ever that great.... I think we were lucky to get what we got with Dark Knight Rises. For all its shortcomings the movie is actually pretty great considering how devastated Nolan and Bale were about Heath's passing.
Rises could have turned out really really terrible. and the movie is not that terrible.
Sure there are plot holes but the movie works as it is. It is a redemption story. from both sides from Batman and from catwoman and even from Bane. Bane wanted redemption from the league of shadows and Catwoman wanted a new life, it all works. The city fighting for freedom, the cops vs the terrorists, it all works well.
It might not be the best batman movie but it was a great take on the Tale of Two cities. Im glad Nolan made it. I rather have Rises than have nothing at all.
Or have a new director like Goyer ruin it even further
