So hearing this first track from the upcoming soundtrack for Marvel’s Black Panther just gives me even more confidence that this movie is gonna be awesome.
It’s called “All the Stars,” and it’s an R&B-infused collab with SZA, a woman who’s changing the R&B game in her own right, that’s already setting itself up to be one of my Confidence Anthems of 2018. Check out some of these lyrics:
Tell me what you gonna do to me
Confrontation ain’t nothin’ new to me
You can bring a bullet, bring a sword
Bring morgue, but you can never bring the truth to me
**** you and all of your expectations
I don’t even want your congratulations
I recognize you for your confidence and calculated promises
All in your conversation
I hate people that feel entitled,
lookin’ at me crazy ’cause I ain’t invite you
Oh, you important? you’re the moral to the story,
you endorsing, mother****** I don’t even like you
Just the idea of Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa nodding his head to this track in the throne room makes me so happy.
Straight outta Compton was a box office hit so maybe Straight outta Wakanda will do the same.
I don’t know if Compton was a hit with or without white audience support though.
This being a family MCU movie and not a gangsta movie then of course the white audience will turn out but the question is by how much.
Will the whites feel comfortable going to a theater for a movie that will have a huge black turn out even if its a family MCU movie.

Being Marvel will help it most.
Still should have included a token white hero in it. Show how Captain 'Merica grew that beard.
John Williams should’ve been hired to write a hip hop orchestral score.
Serious question are there any black composers in Hollywood that create orchestral scores?
I can’t think of any.
What part of that being the white devils music dont u understand?
