I mean am I wrong lol? None of the new Star Wars cast are good. All he does is chase some white girl he barely knows around cause she looked at him like no one else did. Even though the first thing she did was call him a thief.

The real reason why they didnt celebrate is because he was the only black dude in the cast of whites.

Cause he sucks ***.

They had a chance to make Finn a hero and a Jedi, but instead they made him the comic relief and a space janitor. No wonder his toys don't sell and less African Americans went to see TLJ.

Even though BP has been politicalized and become a movement, rather than just a fun movie, it seems to be more culturally relevant and significant than any recent SW or blockbuster. I think Marvel is onto something, considering that the majority of the cast is black, as well as the writer and director.

I was fully ready to embrace finn as the new cool jedi to be honest.
It was such a shame.
Then last jedi destroyed his character thanks to jar jar rose

Anything negative?

Some questionable FX shots here and there but easily forgivable because the movie as a whole was really good. Some of the best acting performances and everyone gets their opportunity to shine on screen.

My favorite scene was
Killmonger's spiritual trip back to Oakland. Some truly twisted and tragic stuff, how he'd switch back and forth to his nine-year-old self.

Yep! This movie hits deep on such an emotional level while keeping you entertained and focused on the story and characters. The only other Marvel movie I can compare the feeling I had leaving this movie was Winter Soldier.

I thought it was fantastic. I loved pretty much every moment of it with some exceptions.

I didn't like...

How after Killmonger was about to use Wakanda's army for his plan, we are immediately thrust into the big final fight and although the dora milaje and M'Baku vs....umm..Daniel Kaluya's tribe was great, once T'Challa and Killmonger faced off it didn't work as well with a lot of iffy cgi. I would have rather the two fought up on land with the other characters making a more grounded final fight scene.

Killmonger is one of the best marvel villains and we don't get enough time with him.

I love the cast, I loved how it wasn't as quippy and when it was quippy they were gutbusters. It's hard to rank it amongst other marvel films because it doesn't FEEL like one. It just feels like an action drama that just happens to contain marvel characters.

Binfo.

The MCU is notorious for constantly reminding (patronizing) you that you're watching MCU movie #87. BP exists and thrives on its own. Its not dependent on any other MCU film to work and is superior to most of them because of its independence.

I have some time off after the dentist, and it's the first showing here today, so I might go, just to see how many people turn up.

I'm gonna guess there was a huge turnout in my area. Thought it was releasing tomorrow? One muliplex had like 13 theaters running BP as well as a fan event. Every theater around was running multiple shows.

After Friday night who knows.:dunno I might go next weekend. Or not. More footage and credit scenes online already.

Turnout seemed kind of small in my area but I live in Kansas City, MO. So...that maybe why. There were probably 15 people in my screening counting my buddy and I.

For those who've seen it, question about one of the post credit scenes....
Did anybody else think Shuri and the....white wolf were gonna be a couple and make out? It was just a weird feeling I got for a minute and I thought it would've been cool.

I’m talking about a ruler theater in SouthEast Yuropoor, so even if the screening is full, it’ll still be small by NA standards. I just want to see how people react compared to Civil War, which did gangbusters here.
