Yep free thinking nowadays is looked down upon. Everyone is so worried about offending anyone that we have gotten to be a thin skinned overly self important society after participation trophies. People idolize idiots on the internet or reality shows like the Kardashians when they have nothing to offer the world. Really sad and pathetic.

Eh, that really wouldn't work either. I like my characters as is. I want my Cap and Daredevil Irish-American, my Tony Med&Anglo-American, my Spector Jewish-American, my Punisher Italian-America, etc, etc. There are very few cases I'd be in favor of a revamp, like Doom, since his origin is far too dated to work in a modern setting.

This movie gets a 100% 5 star thumbs up BTFO rating because affirmative action. It also gets to be the first black superhero movie because narrative and agenda (even though there have been numerous black superhero movies). And just my stating the obvious will make some people decide I'm a big ahole and hater, even though what I really am is just a guy who's able to see the playbook and I'm fatigued by the repetition.

When you look at statistics, African Americans are represented by their population in pop culture

Asian Americans are kicking ***, is there an Asian privilege?? Household income is the highest for Chinese and Indian families in America. So what if we don’t have a celebrity superhero?

I don’t even see this as a big deal, the only people making something out of nothing are these millennials that need an excuse to “fight” for something. America is the most freedom loving liberating best place to live in the entire world.

Anyone that says otherwise should visit a country that hasn’t been colonized... I am sure they couldn’t stand it longer than a week.

Mildly spoilery review in that it comments on film arc in most general terms. I don't agree either that there hasn't been a "sins of the father" theme in other MCU films; re Tony Stark in particular and Howard Stark's involvement with the military and apparent serum development. But CW didn't make a big point of it.

Anyway to me this read as the kind of review I'd expect w. pros and cons. Of course it's non U.S. Tho I just don't get attending a movie as a symbol. Agree with reviewer that last part of WW needed work.

It's getting 100% (or 98%) because RT system is pretty much thumbs up or down and not many people read what the critics are actually saying - at least the critics who aren't high on *feels*. It sounds like a good movie; more drama than action overall. So some may not appreciate that - I don't mind as long as I get engaged. To a point. It's a Marvel movie so I'm gonna expect some kind of action.

CGI online clips still look **** to me tho. After WW I am beginning to think that all new-ish directors of action fantasy films should be contracted to make their *climactic CGI end battle* first before the budget runs out, and cut corners earlier in the film. Or don't hire the lowest bidder for CGI work.

Some of these headlines for it made me throw up in my mouth. It's a disposable fictional comic book movie, just like all the others, and the amount of virtue signaling that it's somehow culturally relevant to some circles is baffling.
