I gotta go with Irish on this one, I think Miranda's ass is money. :drool Samara has the overall better body, but it's still a toss up as to who is hotter. I thought it was funny when one of the Asari basically called Miranda a whore 'cause of outfit. :lol

Amen to no more Mako or inventory system!

Yes! The inventory system was garbage and I am so glad it is gone.

I agree with what everyone said (I'm almost done with game 1 and damn do I hate the Mako AND that f'n inventory system. What a waste of time.)

ME2 is my favorite game of the year....it is a HUGE improvement over the first one...I just can't get enough of it. It's gonna be a long wait for 3. :(

So I'm the only person here who actually liked the Mako? :lol

I liked it fine until about 2/3 of the way through the first mission where I had to use it. Then it just became a tedious, un-fun bore (to me)... the death knell for any gaming element.

Seriously, I'd rather do the planet element mining from ME2 (which is no day at the amusement park, either) for hours than have to drive that clunky thing around again. The shuttle vessel was a major improvement (and also makes more sense... we've got all this technology, why not just drop to right where we need to be??). It's pretty clear that BioWare was trying to go for the HALO Warthog experience with the Mako. But they missed the mark control-wise and it also feels very out of place with the rest of the game.

Well at least the crap you prospect serves a purpose this time around, in ME1 you just surveyed it and that was it. I like that you can actually use these elements to upgrade your weapons and armor.

My question is - how do they get the Mako back up to the ship when they are done? Shuttle makes 100x more sense.

Well you did get $$ to buy better weapons. The one thing I wish you could do in ME2 is sell any elements you do not want to use. I had so much of everything..but couldn't do anymore upgrades and needed $$ so I could get the last couple weapon upgrades that you had to purchase. Unfortunately, I bought crap I didn't need and then there were no more jobs for me to do to make money. Would have been nice to be able to sell off some of the elements.

Yeah, it sucks that there doesn't seem to be enough money to buy everything. I'm playing through again and making sure I don't waste my money on unnecessary armor and such.

I loved ME2 and had a great time playing it. I started a second playthrough weeks ago but very quickly got bored and stopped playing. The story is great, the characters are great, but as soon as I realized all my upgrades and elements were gone (getting 50,000 of everything is hardly a fair deal when I had over 200,000 of everything when I beat it the 1st time) I just gave up.
Yes, element mining is improved, but it's hardly fun, and having to do hours worth of it over again just to upgrade guns that I'd already upgraded was too much to sit through.
I've said my bit. Still a fantastic game though.

Maybe we should blame the Alliance for giving us Mako and thanks Cerberus for making a shuttle and make our job easier. It seems Cerberus not bad after all :lol:lol:lol

Haha, seriously. Cerberus brought you back to life, gave you a brand new awesome ship, a new scanner, cooler teammates (Miranda, anyone?) and free reign to kick some @$$.
The Alliance? After you were dead for like 5 minutes they gave up on you, tore your old team apart and forgot all about you. Not to mention shoddy equipment.
As long as we ignore shady experiments and torture and kidnapping, Cerberus rules!

At the end of ME2
I destroyed that base or whatever it was and pissed off Cerberus. I wonder what effects that will have in game 3. I just didn't trust those guys. They are so pro human I could see them making reapers of other alien races to fight Harbinger. I did however save 2 games (one where I did save the base technology) so I could play 3 both ways and see how it differs.

Finished game 1 again....thought maybe this time I would save the Council in the end...but they pissed me off too much. :lol

That was my idea too Jen. My first playthrough was straight renegade and I saved the base.
My intent was to go through as paragon the second time, but like I said, it's a little too irksome for me now. Maybe a few months from now it will be bearable =)

If it was possible to save the council excluding the Turian councilor, I'd totally take it. As it is I save them because I can't bring myself to let the crew of the Destiny Ascension die. I console myself by backsassing (renegading) any responses directed at him specifically.

Although

When that ******* did air quotes at me while saying "Ah yes, 'Reapers'" in ME2, I really wished I'd let him die.

Hopefully we can do the "Ah yes, reapers" thing in ME3 when his ship/planet/etc is getting attacked. Perfect retribution.

Well I redid the ending in game one and saved the council. Just imported my character and am doing my 4th run through of ME2. The last times I played I did a new character and then the two times after that I imported my ME2 character. Curious to see what things might change since now I have saved the council and Wrex survived. Plus my last redo I chose Kaidan over Liana...so I wonder if he will be nicer to me when I see him later on...or still call me a traitor. :lol Probably still be a jerk.

Anyway....playing on hard...and so far it's...hard. :lol Will try insane next. I just can't get enough of this game. I :love it. :D

Having Wrex survive is AWESOME. He is a badass.

Yeah I had Wrex on 90% of my missions in ME1. Does he join your team in ME2?? Probably not, me thinks....since you have a lot of stuff to do with Grunt that wouldn't be an option if Wrex is on your team instead. :dunno But I can't wait to get to the Krogan homeworld and see how that is different now that he is around.

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: hell yes.

QFT!!! Best game of the year! (yeah I know it's only Feb...but this game is definitely the best game I have played in the past year...and probably will be the best game I play for 2010.)
