I had everyone loyal, including Tali but she died anyways

Really? Both Miranda and Jack were loyal? You must have had a high paragon or renegade rating. I was about 90% and still didn't have the conversation options to have them both stay loyal.

Don't know what to say if everyone was loyal. Haven't heard of that happening before.

As far as I know they were loyal, I did their loyalty missions. Although Jack and Miranda got in a fight and I sided with Jack so Miranda wasn't happy, but if she weren't loyal then she wouldn't have unlocked her specialty power

I don't really mind either way, was just curious

She still has her super powers but she is no longer loyal...she is neutral..and if she was the leader of your Fire Team, that would explain why Tali (or whomever you picked for the vents) died.

If you check your team status you can see that she is no longer "loyal" because you did not side with her. If you did side with her, Jack would no longer be loyal..doesn't matter that you did the loyalty missions.

I was finally able to make everyone loyal, through all the arguments tonight. You have to have the paragon/renegade bars competely full.

I'm on my veteran playthrough and many of the persuade options seem less available. Anyone know if the higher difficulty levels require greater paragon/renegade points for persuasion?

I failed to mediate the Jack/Miranda dispute, but when I went to speak with Jack afterwards, it seemed like there were some darkened persuade options there. This wouldn't have actually regained her loyalty though, would it?

yes it would have regained her loyalty, on one of my playthroughs legion and tali got into their argument and i couldnt convince them both so i sided with tali, and then went to talk to legion and had enough persuade to convince him to see things my way, and he become loyal again.

Oh, that's pretty good then. I just need to find a way to raise my Paragon score... but I'd swear persuasion was easier when I wasn't on "veteran".

For the Jack/Miranda fight - you have to have your Paragon filled to the MAX. The others you can persuade though without having so much.

Geh, this is what I miss about the first game. I could always be certain my persuasion abilities were maxed out when I needed them.

I think I found one of Tali's best lines in the game today.

"I am clan Zora
Crew of the starship Neema
And you are an idiot."

:lol

Page 2! BLASPHEMY!

Starting a full playthrough of ME1 & 2 with my Spacer Sole Survivor MaleShep. Think I'm gonna hit on Liara in 1 and Miranda in 2, hopefully setting up a nice catfight in 3.

Hah, if only. I actually wasn't sure if Liara was played by the same actress until I checked. So many characters just seem to have gotten darker over the years.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting going through the first game again, meeting up with everyone, seeing how they've changed.

Garrus in ME2 makes perfect sense to me, given his personality and what he's been through. Tali matured more than anything else, she seems to be one of the few that didn't have something obnoxiously bad happen to her - well, BETWEEN games anyway. Kaiden was a total jerk to me on Horizon but I can kinda get his reasoning. Liara flipped out a little... I can understand her being cold but dammit woman, you knew I wasn't going to stay dead! At least act like you USED to like me.

Another random question, couldn't find he best answer on the googles. I screwed up Liara's shadow broker quest cause I wasn't paying attention. Is it worth it to go back and do it right or not?

Not sure. It might be one of those things that could affect what happens in ME3, like
the choice regarding the missiles and saving the alliance base or the colonists,
but the end result of the shadow broker quest seemed pretty trivial.

But again, we don't know how anything will change things in ME3 yet.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the voice actress was the same either. I didn't remember Liara's voice acting to be so bad. Hers was probably the weakest voice acting in the game.

I started playing this over the weekend and have to say that I'm loving it so far. I've played the **** out of the first ME and this is a very worthy successor to the first game. The beginning of ME2 is awesome, totally not what I expected, but good enough to keep it feeling fresh. I'm really glad the Mako is gone (got old real fast) and I love the new Prospect mode. Not sold on the weapon upgrading system yet, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. I'm about 12 hours in right now, thanks to all for using spoiler tags! :duff

Oh and Yvonne Strahovski as Miranda is quite possibly the hottest female video game character EVER. :drool

I'm going back through and playing game one again. Gotta say I am so glad they changed prospect mode. I'm really getting tired of driving all over those damn planets...especially those really mountainous ones. :lol

I'm the female Shep....and now I have to decide between Kaidan or Liara for my hookup. :) Decisions...decisions...:lol

I think I may make some different key choices then time through than I did last time....curious to see what happens.

As far as the most important decision, for me

Anderson ALWAYS punches Udina.

It's kinda funny in this game, I wanted to be evil, but I couldn't help making paragon choices to further my interests in the game. By the end of the game the Paragon meter was twice as high as Renegade.

If the characters in a game don't seem real enough that you don't care about them, being "evil" is easy. The fact that so many people feel compelled to play paragon in ME is testament to the quality of the game, I'd say.
