Absolutely! It would seem we had our Game of the Year in the very first month. Pretty hard for any other game coming out in the near future to top this.

That new fallout game, Fallout: New Vegas, might have a chance. If it's half as good as Fallout 3, I'll be playing it for a while.
I am curious whether or not we'll see more levels added when the ME2 DLC comes around. I reached 30 on my first playthrough, so it would be great to rank up some more.

Well I redid the ending in game one and saved the council. Just imported my character and am doing my 4th run through of ME2. The last times I played I did a new character and then the two times after that I imported my ME2 character. Curious to see what things might change since now I have saved the council and Wrex survived. Plus my last redo I chose Kaidan over Liana...so I wonder if he will be nicer to me when I see him later on...or still call me a traitor. :lol Probably still be a jerk.

Anyway....playing on hard...and so far it's...hard. :lol Will try insane next. I just can't get enough of this game. I :love it. :D

Don't know if you want to do that. I almost broke my controller, xbox, and TV while playing on Insane. Plus I'm pretty sure my blood pressure increased so much that it's permanently high now.

Yeah...we will see how long I can handle insane...if I make it through on hard first. :lol The ONLY games I've ever been able to play and finish on the hardest level were the Gears games....this seems so much harder though. Even hard seems more difficult than I remember Gears on insane.

I would suggest NOT being a vanguard. That's what I was and I died all over the place (especially Horizon, Collector's Ship, and past the Omega 4). Be a class that has the most life and the most powerful weapons

I always play as a soldier. I don't want to personally mess with that biotic stuff...I'll have someone on my team do that instead. Just give me some good shields/armor and guns and I'm good to go! :D

I love the biotic stuff, its' fun to use the shockwave power

To be honest, I haven't messed with the biotics much. I did learn some skill (can't remember which) when you can do that advanced training and gain a skill from one of your team mates. But I rarely used it....I like having someone on my team use the biotics and then I can shoot them at the same time.

Shooting is just so much easier for me. :lol But that was also when I was just running through the game and rarely needing to take cover. Now on these harder levels, I'm definitely going to have to strategize more.

Gotcha, I had my extra power as being REAVE, which worked in conjunction with the allies' powers and to steal some life away....when you use reave, they leave cover for about 3-4 seconds and you can pick them off with weapons. Just my $0.02

I tried playing on Insanity and I quit after about 20 minutes. I'd love to get the achievement, but not at the expense of not enjoying the game and annoying myself into frustration. Not worth it for me.

Thanks for the tip. I will try that. :duff

If you don't like it, it will only cost you 5,000 element zero to change (and you will never EVER use up the 25,000 you get for a replaythrough)

I remember reading about Reave when I was doing that advanced training..but never tried it. I think I ended up doing something lame like overload.

Did you use a sniper to pick them off afterwards? In game 1 I LOVED the assault rifle...rarely used anything else. But I didn't really care for the assault rife in my first couple play throughs of ME2. I ended up using sniper and pistol most.

Vanguards can't use Snipers, but I would either use Collector Assault Rifle, Teammates' Abilities, or just use Reave again (by the time the enemy is finished with Reave, it has already reloaded to use it again- which was a nice little trick).

Damn - no Snipe for Vanguards - well i definitely won't be doing that then. :lol That thing is my life saver...unless you are in a part of the game where time is of the essence...then I'll switch things up a bit.

I'm going to have to remember to try the Collector's assault rife....maybe that will be better than the crappy pulse type ones I had before. I want something that lets loose with a steady stream of bullets.

that is one thing that was nice about game 1.....unlimited ammo. :rock

I'm a glutton for punishment, can't wait to play this on Insane. :D

Well from what Nick has said...you are going to have one hell of a wild ride. :D You will probably get to it before I do...I'll be curious to hear how you do and how frustrating it is.

Who am I joking...you all are such better players than me....I think I'll be impressed if I make it out of the Cerberus lab where you start the game after you have been resurrected. :lol

I'm doing Insanity right now, and it's pretty killer, but still comparable to Insanity on the original Mass Effect. You really have to know what you're doing, and plan things out.

For example, if I know I'm going against a bunch of Blood Back mercs, I absolutely must bring at least one character who has Warp (usually Miranda) even though I already have it myself. When every enemy has armor, it's crucial that you are able to deconstruct that armor as quickly as possible, because once they close in on you, it's over.

I hear people talk about Insanity versus Insanity +1.....not sure how to access the difference...?

+1 means you've started a second playthrough with a character from a previous playthrough. So you would start out with all the powers and XP that you had and upgrade further. Since you can't actually upgrade your character all the way with one playthrough
