Yes you can keep Jack alive - even if she is not loyal. :) But she will die if you have Miranda head the fire teams - because Jack does not want to take orders from a Cerberus cheerleader. Just don't do anything with Jack or Miranda - and they will both live. Have Garrus head your fire teams and take other members besides Garrus/Miranda/Jack with you on the last part where you bring down the reaper. Have someone like Tali take the crew back to the ship. That's what I did and everyone lived.

Getting ready to start insane......ahhhhh!! Think I'm going to pick Infiltrator this time - instead of soldier....gotta have my snipe. :D

Thanks Jen, I'll give it a try tonight! :duff

My best advice for Insanity is use Barrier, take cover a lot, press up on the d-pad to have your squad mates attack the same target as you and yes snipe is a HUGE help on this difficulty. Good luck, I'm about halfway thru and it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I beat ME1 like 3 times and stuff carried over, but what carries over in ME2? Thanks! :wave

Well we won't really know until ME3 comes out. I think probably decisions made regarding the heretic geth and whether or not you saved the technology from the collector base. There might some cameos from the crew that survived.

Or are you asking what from ME1 carried over to ME2?

Thanks for the tip - and good luck to you too. :) I'm nervous. :lol :lol

Made it through Freedman's Progress without having to use omni-gel or dying. :woo That heavy mech was a beeotch though. Only had two grenades in my grenade launcher. Had to keep running around a crate so he wouldn't get me. Thankfully he seemed to be more interested in me than my other teammates.

Oh sorry Jen, I meant like what stat's, equipment, stuff like that. My bad! :D Like when you do a new game+

If you import your character - well the decisions you made carry over...damn...if your character was "rich" you get a chunk of paragon or renegade points and some minerals for upgrades- other than stats and stuff I can't remember....I had imported my ME1 character but I'm in my 5th play through now and I've just been importing my ME2 character (that was originally my ME1 character). With that I get all my weapons, some minerals from mining, my armor and all the skills I had before. No extra paragon or renegade though.

I was going to be an Infiltrator for insane - but since I imported my character I have to stay with Soldier. That's okay - cause I got my good armor and all my weapons and skills. I also kept Reave.

Ahh k cool, yea I brought my ME1 shep over to ME2 and got those stuff you mentioned. Im near the end of ME2 and Im gonna start over in insane but I just wanted to know what carries over. Thanks!! :duff

That's how I did my insanity run in ME1. Soldier class with Barrier and Throw. Ill Jedi is right that barrier is a big help because it helps u soak up a lot damage before you go down. Good luck! :rock

I chose Reave instead of Barrier. Reave is great too because you can really damage the nervous or synthetic system of your enemies to prevent them from healing. If you use it against an organic, it restores your health. If you have it at level 4 you can kill or come damn close to killing an enemy with it.

Good luck to you too! :duff

Wish we could have more than one special skill. I think you should get a special skill for each playthrough! :) If I had Reave and Barrier - I would be unstoppable! :lol

Ahh havent gotten reave yet, but I guess i'll use it! Sounds like nueral shock but for synths. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yea gonna need all the luck I can get! :naughty Thank you!

Yea I didnt know that when u use advance training, it would get rid of your other skill. I was using barrier and then I wanted nueral shock, but then I lost barrier once I did it. Waste of 5000 element zero :banghead It was better in ME1 where you can more than one skill outside your class. But I agree, soldier class and barrier and reave would be a beast!

wait till you get to the collectors ship its crazy thats where im stuck at right now on insanity

Collector Ship On Insanity = Hardest Battle

At least for me, so far. It seems like the Benezia battle was the hardest fight in the first game. I don't know why the toughest battles seem to be plopped in the middle of the ME games. :lol

Just wanted to say - I'm doing the mission to recruit Mordin. I had Miranda take cover and she got stuck there - and damn Jacob kept dying. I had to fight off 3 waves of vorcha and krogan by myself. :cuss But I made it. :lol Hardly had any ammo left - so thank God they are dropping a lot after each battle.

Hell is anyone noticing insane being more glitchy? Now I'm stuck on top of a crate - don't know how I got up there...but I was able to still kill everyone...but now I can't move and will probably have to replay that damn part. :cuss

Nevermind ...was able to get down by crouching in cover and doing a melee at the same time....damn. Had to use all my heavy weapon ammo to fight off the 2 krogan since I couldn't move.

It seems like I notice glitches a lot more often on Insanity, probably because it forces you to pay more attention to everything that's going on (though that wouldn't explain the crate issue, of course).

My Shepard was somehow skywalking during the Insanity battle with Uvenk. They nearly shot me out of the sky, but since they couldn't charge me, they just kept staring up at me while I flung Warp at them. LoL

Dang insane is hard. :lol :lol Got Mordin and Garrus on my team and did Zaeerk's loyalty mission. The mission to get Garrus was a pain in the ass....but finally made it through. Can't believe how much friggin' ammo it takes to take some of these guys down and I'm using a maxed out incinerator ammo on the fleshy ones. Even the varren are a pain. I was able to get them down with two shots before....now it takes me around 6. And everyone seems to move toward you faster too. Maybe I'm just imaging it because I was able to take everyone down so much quicker before. :dunno

I'm really dreading the IFF, Collector Ship and Horizon missions. They are going to kick my ass. :(

Next up Grunt. :D It will be nice to have him on the team - though now that I have Zaeek's (or whatever his name is) bonus skill - I'm tempted to use him some more. That grenade he has is very handy.

Zaeed*. :lol

Did you try the game on Hardcore first? You may find that helpful in developing your skills more gradually.
