I hate those husks! I wish you could just tell one of your crew to target a certain type of enemy. Then I would have one focusing on husks so they don't sneak up on me when I'm trying to take down other enemies.

I'm going to do the Jack mission tonight. I decided to go ahead and do some of those little side missions to help me better my skills since I skipped hardcore.

Boy if Israel is having a hard time on Horizon....I doubt I'll make it through. But I'm not giving up!

Does anyone use Jack on their team? I never really used her before...been using Miranda mostly so far....but since she's the most powerful human biotic, I might switch it up after she joins my team.

Yeah, Jack is awesome. She kicks all kinds of ass, especially after the Level Ups.

I'm on Horizon right now and having a ***** of a time with the Husks and the big ****ers with the armor, it was really pissing me off last night.

Here's some tips - I haven't tried it yet though since I've still got a little ways to go before I get to Horizon.

There are buildings you can use for cover (and shoot at the enemy through the windows). Flank the Collectors from the sides instead of taking them on directly. Winnow their numbers from the windows.

Make sure to weed out any weak Collectors - because if they have even a sliver of life left in them, Harbinger will possess them and give them full armor and barrier. Harbinger is very clever about possessing Collectors that are near death.

Makes me wonder if perhaps weeding out the regular collectors first might be good. - then Harbinger can't keep possessing new bodies.

Now the Praetorian sounds like it's going to be a real beeotch on insane. With it's regenerating barrier, you only have a few seconds once you take it down to damage it shields before it regenerates it's barrier again.

I'm not looking forward to fighting that one.

Let us know when you make it through Ill. I'm curious to hear any suggestions you might have.

Good to know. Perhaps I'll use both her and Miranda for extra biotic goodness. Though I don't know.....on insane there are so many damn factors you have to consider.

Just got Jack on my team. I'm saving a lot and having to redo areas a few times before I make it out.....takes me awhile to figure out a good strategy. But I'm getting there.

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread with my progress updates. I just never do insane on games - ever (except Gears) so the fact that I've made it this far surprises me.

Yea just gotta save after every firefight and gotta use cover. If ur using the soldier, Adrenaline Rush all the time. It'll give those extra secs to fire away. And with a cooldown of 3 secs, just spam it like crazy! :emperor Maxed out of course.

Naw it's all good, I like hearing ppl's stratagies for getting through places. And it just shows how good ME2 is that ppl like you and others and myself are willing to subit ourselves to punishment!

Just got to say - Miranda and Jack KICK ASS!! Did the mission to get Grunt on the team and I didn't have to redo any areas, use any medi-gel or use any heavy ammo. Granted there were a couple times one of them died, but I was able to kill the rest of the group attacking, so they were automatically revived afterwards.

I don't want to go in. I'm going to ignore him for the moment.

Dang it! He won't let me ignore him. I was going to mine a bit more so I could get some platinum for another upgrade...but it won't let me. I have to talk to him.

Horizon was surprisingly manageable for me... except for that one part where they all advance on you, and you have no proper cover. And the final "King-of-the-Hill" battle was tricky, too. Okay, maybe it is tough.

The first fight on the Collector Ship was far worse for me, though.

Damn Horizon gets SIGNIFICANTLY harder after you talk to that guy that was hiding. I haven't even made it to the area where you recalibrate the defenses yet........damn.

Whew - instead of my team going into cover where I wanted - they went infront of the cases and got themselves killed. I managed to kill a scion, 2 husks and 3 collectors on my own!

Okay I am now at the part where you have to recalibrate the defenses and hold your ground. This is where the cover sucks.......ahhhhhh!

I was able to effectively "mediate" the Jack/Miranda conflict without a full bar - only about 75% was necessary.
