Mass Effect 2 Hammerhead Footage Appears on the Web, Muzyka Confirms Upcoming New Character DLC
Written Sunday, March 07, 2010 by Dan Webb

There are many of us - read, me - who missed the vehicular sections in Mass Effect 2. There was something about them in the original that made the galaxy seem so much more vast than it is in Mass Effect 2.

Hot on the heels of the recent announcement that the new vehicle - the Hammerhead - is coming out at the end of March, GameTrailers grabbed the doctors from BioWare to show off the first in-game footage of the vehicle in action, which you can check out here now.

Talking to GT, Ray Muzyka, BioWare CEO, also stated that there is "lots more cool stuff coming as well; with new items, new quests, new worlds, another character coming as well."

Another character?

If recent internet rumours are anything to go by, this new character is a human thief called Kasumi, who can be seen and heard in hacked versions of the PC game, and is mentioned in news reports around the Citidel. There are even rumours that the achievement list on the debug already has an achievement up for her. Way too much information there for it to be a coincidence if you ask us.

The Firewalker AKA Hammerhead DLC is coming at the end of March.

Cant wait for the new stuff. After finishing up insanity last night I have started going through it on casual just to have a paragon to check out the dlc with.

Can't wait - though I have to say I didn't miss that damn vehicle from ME1 at all! :lol :lol

I got to agree with the article it did make the worlds seem bigger. I do miss it at times I just love a lot of exploring on games what can I say I love my rpg's.

I finally beat this **** on Insanity in the wee hours of this morning! 51/51 Achievements!! :woo Adrenaline Rush really made it possible, I love it.

Congrats Ill! :rock :rock I agree with you 100% about Adrenaline Rush - I think it's the only way a soldier can make it through on Insane.

hey guys, i just bought MA2 when i was out getting Dante's Inferno. I never played the first one (a shame I know), but should I go out and pick up the first one and finish that one up before tackling this one? Of course it makes to play the original, but I'm wondering if MA2 continues the story of the first in a significant way or it departs from the plot of the original? I steered clear of reading anything about the plot/reviews because I wanted to experience it fresh. what would you folks recommend?

I would play the first - because it is a continuation of the story. Plus you can import your character from ME1 to ME2 and decisions you made in the first game will have consequences in the second game. Not anything major - but it's cool to see what you did in the first game carry over to the second.

I think ME2 is way better than the first game (though I did like that one as well) - and would definitely play them both to get the full experience and know the whole story. It would be like watching LOTR Two Towers and missing Fellowship of the Ring.

Just download it from the Xbox Live Marketplace. I highly reccomend playing through the first one before starting the second as well. There are so many little tie-ins that really make having played the first one so much more enjoyable.

Plus if you import an ME 1 character to ME 2 you start at a higher level. I imported a level 60 ME 1 character with my money maxed out and ended up starting at level 5 on ME 2 with a bonus for having so much money. It gave me 100,000 credits if I remember correctly.

I forgot how awesome the first game was. I was in no rush to buy 2. Damn what a mistake. This game is fantastic! :rock

Yea Ash is a beezy in this game. :emperor I wish you could get all 3, but your gonna have to make a choice like in the first game if you were flirting with all the girls. You can get kelly to dance for you too!

Sweet! :rock They need to have gang bangs in the 3rd. :lol

It's about time Keith. :lol Best game of the year! :D Wait until you try it on insane. :google

Yeah I don't know what the hell I was thinking. I went through a phase where I didn't want to play anything that required lots of talking. However, I'm glad I went back and picked this up. I'm loving it! :rock

I'm starting this game tonight. Just finished the first one yesterday (I know, where have I been?) I thought the first one was good, but the technical issues brought it down for me, especially since I played it sorecently. Second one looks boss, though. Just need for my daughter to go to sleep. :tap
