Lair of the Shadow Broker is freaking awesome. Spoiler-filled thoughts below.

Liara's reaction when you initially meet on Ilium makes so much more sense now. If you romanced her in ME1, and still have an easy time dropping her for one of the ME2 love interests after this DLC, you're a mean person.

The thing about the DLCs that always bothers me a bit is the limited interaction with your other squad members. I know it's limited because they can't record new lines for them, but still. I would have liked to see Liara be able to acknowledge Garrus or Tali. (Although it was cool that the Shadow Broker recognized Garrus as Archangel and referenced the bounty the gangs put on him.)

The dossiers are freaking hilarious. I especially love Mordin's. Gotta love Salarian insults.

I need to get a post-suicide mission Shep who was faithful to Liara to do this with, I wonder how the dialog with Liara on the Normandy changes. That was my favorite part of the DLC... it was well written and I liked the fact that they gave me the option to let my Shep express his doubts about the mission. He's always gung ho so I thought it was neat to explore that side of his personality if you choose. (The "neutral" option was something like "We'll succeed" and I forget the "renegade" option.)

I actually think $10 was about right with the amount of voice acting that went into this. It's a must buy if you've played both ME1 and ME2, and even more so if you romanced Liara. She's a much more complex character now.

It also includes the best line in the entire game.

"I have fond memories of the last time you put pressure on me."

Mnnn.. Who dies exactly in the suicide mission??

Are they loyal??
You can check the squad status at the Normandy terminal, next to the galaxy map or in yours captain's room

For example, you can finish Thane Krios loyalty mission, but if you do'nt arrive in time to save the political during this mission, and his soon scapes.. then he would'nt be loyal... and obviously will die in the suicide mission.

By the way..about payment Dlc,s I strongly recommend "Kasumi the stolen memory" in first place,(and is cheap) Her loyalty mission is really good but kinda short (about an hour) however Kasumi is the best partner I found so far. Her flash bang granades are pretty usefull against multiple enemies, and her "shadow" atack using optic camo is very cool and safe.
The second Dlc would be "Lair of the Shadow Broker", (2 or 2.5 hours) ,very intense and technically exquisite.

"Overlord" is nice too, and the final decission would have repercussion in ME3 (over 1.5 or 2 hours)

thanks for the great info.
got kasumi stolen memory today then as soon as I am done going to get the shadow broker.
pumped !

That's one thing about ME2 that totall pissed me off: I romanced Liara every time, but except for the last game....when I went to play ME2, it totally didnt give me that credit....

It actually put a taint on the game for me...even now, I am annoyed I would have to go back and finished ME1 again, just to open this aspect of ME2 up....'

That, and ME2 wimped out with the sexuality this time around: felt less complete to me

Loved the shadow broker DLC ! Totally worth it !

Anyway since this is a Mass effect thread I wanted to post my first full sculpt that I chose to make of Mordin :

I bought a used copy of Mass Effect 2 for the Xbox 360 at my local Blockbuster. It came with the instruction booklet, and it said that it should have come with an access code to the "Cerberus Network" online with Xbox LIVE. But that card and/or code was missing since this was a rental game.

Does anyone know where I can get a code for the Cerberus Network for my game? I'd like to have it to be able to access any special perks that come with the Cerberus Network on Xbox LIVE.

Please help me out. Thanks! :wave

The Cerberus Network was a free download for people who bought the game new. You can pay 1200 ms points and get access to the network.

Anyone think someone will make the Mass Effect gang in 1/6th? I'd love a Tali and Garus :)

Got bored & started playing it again but went to the trouble of re-playing the ending of ME 1 first (to change the way it ends). I'd forgotten just how damn good ME 2 is & with all the DLC added in it's a monster of a game. Hot Toys need to get this, a H/T John Shepard would be right up there with a H/T Nathan Drake on my "to die for" figures !.

Cool news tidbit. Jess Houston just said that Mass Effect 2 for PS3 is actually running on the Mass Effect 3 engine. Almost makes me want to buy it just to see how it looks.

To quote: "We've actually created the engine for Mass Effect 3 and use that to make Mass Effect 2 PS3. So we took the content and the story and all the other assets that made up Mass Effect 2 and we put them in the Mass Effect 3 engine. And that's what we are actually delivering."

Someone posted in Hidefdigest forums that IGN already has comparison pics posted. Definitely looks better than the PC and 360 version, but considering it's almost a year late and on the new engine I don't see why it wouldn't.
