no...well.....sometimes. i've been working the graveyard shift for awhile now. work all night, sleep all day. paycheck is in my mail on fridays.

For awhile when I was in college, I worked the night shift at a psychiatric treatment facility (same one Tiger Woods went to earlier in the year). Though they weren't supposed to, almost everyone there slept for large chunks of the time they were supposed to be working. I bet that happens in a lot of places.

yeah. i won't buy an accessory that is half the cost of the entire figure. still looks pretty cool. but it is just a joke accessory. not for me.

Hey kairus, welcome to the madness that is MotU Classics collecting. Those were some really nice videos on Battle Cat, good clear presentation. It's got me thinking about Panthor again, I really hope the mystery helmet shown at the Con belongs to him.

Oh yeah, the havoc staff styled helmet has gotta be for Panthor.

I am also hoping that the saddle will bbe more than just a straight repaint.
I expect great things for Panthor!

I dunno, I kinda hope it's simply a repaint, I like the saddle design as is. The helmet would be an excellent bonus as no-one was expecting it, I think they've really gone the extra mile for us with this guy already. That's not even mentioning the fact that they will offer both a flocked and unflocked version of him.

Actually for Panther I would prefer a repainted one and no flock; I always hated the detail being covered up, and it rubbed off.

I dunno, I kinda hope it's simply a repaint, I like the saddle design as is.

The sculpt is fine, however how the saddle was constructed to fit on the figure is flawed and actually ruins the lines of battlecat for me. Without modification to the saddle, you can't even pose him like the original figure.

Try taking Battlecats armor off without moving him and see how he is posed.

Battlecat's back should be arched like a "U", but due to the strap being too short, and the saddle being completely hollow (it should have internal support veins), you have to pose him with a "n" shaped back. It lowers his head significantly, pushes him into the scared cat pose rather than attack, and the curve of his tail doesn't line up with the armor.

Now try this: With his armor off, pose Battlecat with all feet on the ground and with his back arched as much as possible in a "U" shape. Take the armor strap and turn it to the side (it's too short to use), then place the armor back onto battlecat. The armor actually fits the figure much better, and retains more of the look of the original figure.

Horrible design. To fix it, the saddle die would need support veins (easy) and then lengthen the strap (ease depends on the die).

I agree but it's a minor issue as far as I'm concerned. What I should have said was that I hope they don't depart from the current look of the saddle.

Very true, and in all honestly, I don't expect they will change the saddle, it's fine as is, it just could have been great.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to buy the subscription for 2010. A lot can happen between now and the end of the year. I'm leaning toward getting it as I love this line and if I have to limit myself to one toy line, it'll probably have to be He-Man. I also don't want to think about how much of a pain it will be to have to order everything I want in 2010.
