pretty much...seems the line is more focused for the scalpers with the crazy 10 per person limit (who needs 10???) as hot as the line is...can you blame them? people are stupid enough to pay 4 times the amount each for these


yeah, i don't get the 10 per person limit.
 
It's for international customers...
some people get together to order a batch and split the shipping...

and of course the scalpers take advantage of that...
it's a flawed system... but it's hard to please everybody...
even if they release these on brick and mortar stores, some people
would still complaint about Mattel...
 
If it's for international customers I wish someone had told me. Trouble is if I want to order more than 1 I have to do it over 2 orders to prevent taking a hit from customs. So I either get a customs hit or pay double shipping...double shipping is the slightly lesser of 2 evils.
 
Well, I can't believe it. The Supervisor from Matty CS called me. We had a chat for about 10 minutes. My second unprocessed order is doomed, no chance of getting shipped.

My first order which I was charged for, but they have no record of is "getting looked into".

I explained, very nicely to him how I had taken off work, am out 100.00 bucks for the time being and got squat. He was very nice, but didn't have many answers. He stated that the site crashed, and that they are working with their "contacts" from Digital River to figure out what went wrong. He took all my info and promised he would email me some kind of response when he figured out what is up with my missing order. He said he would do his best to get me an order filled with leftover stock from duplicate orders.

I asked that If I do not get my order, that I should be compensated in some way, as this is unexceptable. He promised he contact me in one way, shape, or form. I also asked him to email me a promo code for my next order. He said "I'll see what I can do". He would not send me a He-Ro, but got a kick out of me asking.:lol

He was probably blowing smoke up my @ss, but at least was trying to do something. I am glad I do not have a Job there, as I am sure it is sucking pretty hard right about now.:horror

sucks for you, man.. I got charged twice and i only ordered 2 so the first transaction timed out but still went through..
 
Just got home and read threw some of thaws posts. Looks like I'm done with the line, it's not even gonna be worth trying to collect them and I refuse to pay eBay prices in them as well. What the hell is wrong with them and that 10 figure per person? Was thinking this line was for collectos not scalpers.

That is my question, I have three that timed out but the pre-auths are sitting there on my bank account, will these guys just fall off... I will be super pissed by getting charged three times and nothing to show for it...
 
Got online when Mer-Man went on sale and every time I tried logging in the cart would empty itself.....needless to say I missed out. Hope they fix the problem by the time they restock a week later.
 
Hopefully Matty will have the issues straightened out when Mer-man becomes available again. I'll be mad if I can't get my Mer-man.
 
Silly question: there aren't going to be any differences between the first batch that "sold out" today and the second batch offered later this month, are there? Including packaging?

They should be identical. There is always a possibility of minor variations in the paint application I would think, since these are from different runs. But they should be the exact same. I am not even going to try on the 23rd as I do not have enough extra funds to play with while they "auth" my card for orders that are not even going to ship. One can only hope that today was enough for them to get their system fixed before the next figure releases. :rolleyes:

Nope, no differences in the Mer-Mans sold today versus the future ones.

Also, I got my order in after 30 minutes. Ordered 2 like usual. Now, the kicker. Tried to order those same 2 for 30 minutes and after the 30 minutes of constant reloading, I finally got a confirmation. Got home later on and checked my email and I now have 2 Mer-Mans X3 coming. Great job Digital River. The fun will be getting 2 of those orders returned. If it's too much of a hassle I may sell the extras to people on here that didn't get any (at a NON inflated price + shipping). I'll let you guys know how the battle with customer service goes.

Well, i called their customer service and they told me that they didn't want to cancel any orders because they said that the pending transactions should get cleared. they didn't want to cancel any of my orders because they were afraid that they might cancel the wrong order. So, i have to wait until tomorrow morning and check my account.. If it's still there, i was told to call them back. Good luck, man.. hope they come through for you.
