I was about to say, that this thread is beginning to remind me of heman.org and I think someone all ready stated it but the hobby does not become much fun with a bunch of whiners, heck my orders got messed up but I stuck it out with Mattel of course I tried to get as much info on how everyone else was doing with their orders but ppl here are just complaining about getting these figs, subscriptions, etc... When do we actually talk about the greatness of this line and how they bring back our childhoods. It's getting ugly.

A couple shot of Mer-man. This is a great figure and I think the other heads make the figure look so much different.

Love the original art head, and right after my post of disgruntle, Sam post a decent opposite positive post from what I'm talkn about :rock :rock:rock

I agree with you. I am guilty myself. But from here on, only pleasant words and Motu pics! I got the high res scans of the old motu posters. I placed an order with a great online printer thinking they would deny because of copyright issues. I got my tracking today. I had them printed on kodak metallic paper, I really have no idea how they will turn out. But pics will come soon.:peace

I also think that it is a testament to how awesome this line is...

I just hope this line has the legs. I can't wait till 3 years from now, and have a huge wall of sweet motu figures.:rock2

edit: though I do not partake, the planet of the apes thread is truly a wonder!

Not that this applies to anyone but me, but. . .I feel better about myself and my toy issues when I see what goes on with you guys. So, I lurk here a bit :monkey1

:D

Thanks Skiman!:D I've said my peace about the complaining in previous posts and have hoped we all move on and maintain a sense of fun and reminiscence of our childhood in this thread. My Faker order got lost in Digital Rivers processing, but I just figure I'll pick him up later. I've already talked to Matty about it a number of times. For now, I'm enjoying all the rest of the figures in the line. I'll post a group shot sometime, because I just enjoy seeing these guys sitting on display. Bring on Zodac and Hordak.:banana:banana

I find myself going to heman.org everyday. But like people have stated, they are a fickle bunch. I really should register and become part of the community. I do not know why they require a non-web based email address.

It really doesn't look like a fun forum to me, and I would fear being moderated to death. But it is the best place to get your Motu news. I do not mean to offend any Orgers. Sideshow forum is decently moderated, but at least they allow some fun. For now, I will just troll it. It is annoying that I cannot see some pics though, so I will register one day:angelsmil

I too just go there for information, and it sure does suck when they post a pic and you click to look at it and have to register. I'm too lazy to create a non-conventional E-mail account to register with them.

There's questions, then there's complaints. Read your posts again my friend and you will know what your doing. Now if you want to question...send comments to Matty or right a petition and have us sign it. If it's productively written, I'll be one of the first to sign it for sure.

I didnt think I was complaining....more-so addressing concerns instead of just taking whatever Mattel is handing to us and what I think would be better for us all (pre-ordering wise)...Mattel has done right in what they done so far, as far as the figures go, and I will be doing the subscription (at least this year) to ensure getting figures.I just dont like the buying of figures sight unseen and how Mattel says there is no guarantee the figures will be available individually on the 15th (which means buy the subscription or lose out) if your ok with that, cool, but I am not

This definitely won't help the line situation at SDCC's Mattel booth. Last year King Grayskull was a breeze. This year I think it will be like the Hasbro GI Joe line that I waited in for several hours.

I hope not, although its been 3 years since I have been to SDCC. Mattel used to give out tickets each day and if your number was selected in between the 1000 or so selected then you could buy one.

That's funny that you bring that up. Because I'm pretty sure I cut the line unintentionally both times I bought the King Grayskull. The booth had a split set of registers, and I just walked up to the one at the right (line was on the left I noticed later) and the woman behind the counter asked me if I had a ticket, I told her "no" and I just wanted to buy a He-Man and Lobo figure. She smiled and sold them both to me real quick like. It really helped that I had cash too, because CC machines weren't working. Next day I bought another without waiting in line (although I didn't see one then) from the same person.

I hope it not like Hasbro's booth. That thing had a line that wrapped around the booth 2-3X over.

All the details will be on the sign-up page when it launches, but here's how it's basically gonna work:

- From May 18th through May 22nd (five days only), come to MattyCollector.com to sign up for the 2009 service.
Every month, from September through December, you'll be guaranteed to get the figure of the month at current prices, for a total of four.

- Once you sign up, you're in for the whole period (subscriptions can't be cancelled).

- Exact figures will be announced approximately three months from each on-sale date.

- Figures can either be shipped and charged once per month as they become available, or they can be held for the year, and charged and shipped together on December 15th.

- You can sign up for as many subscriptions as you want during the five day period. No limit!

- Figures will also be available at MattyCollector.com on the 15th of each month without the subscription. So, if you want extras of some figures, you'll still have the option to buy more — but availability won't be guaranteed.
- The subscription will only be for the figure of the month, and won't include convention figures, or other special figures.
Subscriptions for the full year 2010 will be available in August 2009.

It doesn't get a whole lot easier. Sign up once and you're done… MOTU figures just show up at your door! No worrying about being logged in when a sale starts, or a figure selling out before you get one.

Again, complete details (including all the legal mumbo-jumbo) will be on the sign-up page. And remember, you can get as many as you want but subscriptions will only be available for five days, so mark your calendars for Monday, May 18th!

I think I'll do that myself. I want all of them so I'll sign up especially if you can delay payment till each figure ships. That works for me. :rock

I hope Mattel this year lets you PO He-Ro and won't make you get a ticket and stand in line. That was a total pain in the ass.

U sneaky devil u!! :whip

Yeah I did that the last day of the con last year. I just walked up when no one was there. I said I didn't know about the whole ticket thing and just wanted a couple of things. She smiled and looked around and sold them to me real quick. They are nice and understanding folks.
