Now that I'm starting to collect MOTUC I've also went back and checked out the 200x line which I also like. I bought this He-Man and Skeletor for $9.00 each yesterday. Right now I'm trying for the Snake Armor He-Man.

Lookin' good Sniper! You're well on your way.

And NBG, congrats on Mermy! He's a killer fig!

I was taking some pics in the backyard this afternon and decided to break out my 200X Prince Adam. I love the design on this guy and actually prefer it to his classic look.

Thanks Mando. Great looking figure.

Thanks Mando. Great looking figure.

I never did collect the 200x line. But I have went back and bought skeletor, keldor, and the sorceress and evil lyn stactions. I have my eye on moss-man. Gl on the snake armor he-man, he seems to be a harder one to grab at a decent price.

The 200x series was pretty good, I got into it kinda late though since I figured it would be a passing phase. Then next thing you know Im playing catchup.....just like Im doing with the Classics line. The 2000 series would of been better if they had more articulation, and no action features (never liked them).

Eliminating the articulation would not be necessary, the only issue will be replacing some of the joints, like his hip joints, but I've got replacement hip joints in mind. I talked to the guy teaching me how to cast things today about it, and he's going to take a look at my KG on mondy, and see what is needed to create a cast. the ONLY problem i forsee is some issues with flexability, as transparent resin is often very VERY stiff. we would need to make certina pieces out of a blue. or white Non-transparent soft resin. such as his cape, and his fuzzy underpants( onlypants? ).

Memnoch, one way, or another The Spirt of Greyskull Freaks Edition is a Freakin Go.

We need to put a Freaks Trademark on his butt, literaly, to mark this as NOT the Matty version.

here are the replacement joints I'm considering for his hips.

Personal preference, i prefer the second ones by yellow sub, which are avalible ina few differing colors.

Whatever it takes to make this happen, as Im pretty sure Matty said they would never offer a spirit of Grayskull figure. I know one of the guys on he-man.org was casting in translucent plastic that was rubber for a few hours before it set completely..

I also heard the numerous variants of He-Man killed the 200x line. Especially the Smash Blade He-Man which flooded the stores where you basically couldn't find anything else. Well that's what I heard but I didn't notice back then since I wasn't collecting that line at the time. I do like a few figures from 200X that I do want to add though. Now that I have the regular He-Man and Skeletor I also would like to get an Evil Lyn and I also saw a Snake Teela for a great price that's almost a steel. But the ones that I truly will hunt for are Keldor, Faker and Snake Armor like I mentioned before.

how exactly are they a great dog for figure collector?

My parents had one when I was in high school, (he just passed away a year ago - they live a long time for dogs), and my brother was still at home with tons of collectible toys and stuff, lots of Sideshow figures, after I left. You could trust him not to chew up anything, he was pretty chill. That has a lot to do with training, of course, but they're also pretty content to just sit on people's laps rather than exploring the house on their own and getting into trouble chewing on things they're not supposed to, so it's easy to keep an eye on them.

Mind you, when he was younger, I got him to play with a little Baby Jesus Nativity Scene figure and he was quite happy to treat it like a mouse... But he was little more than a puppy at that point.

But we had bigger dogs too, and even if you could trust them not to use your stuff as chew toys, their size and big wagging tails could knock things over pretty easily. Not that I'd never get a big dog again, but I wouldn't trust him in my office/toy room. With a chihuahua, it's no big deal at all.

Wouldn't recommend them with small children around, though.

Typicaly, I'm more of a cat person. I like it when the animal is annying my, i can pick them up and tss them from the room if need be.

I tend to joke that I only want animals that are small enough to punt if they misbehave. :lol

Hmm.. chiwawa's are on the list of accetable pets now.

I like dogs, but to me growing up on a farm, they belong outside.

I've got a cat and he knows he can't touch any of the toys in my office. He will play with the others and carry them around the house, but somehow (thank goodness) he has it in his head my office is off limits.

:yuck 200X tiny headed eastern influenced motu

stactions, moss man, keldor, she-ra were what i liked out of it

I bought this He-Man and Skeletor for $9.00 each yesterday. Right now I'm trying for the Snake Armor He-Man.

look around most of these figures should be able to be bought for half the price or... just save your money for future MOTUC purchases

be gone 200X back on topic MOTUC kicks butt

say what you will, but IMO, the character design of 200X Prince adam > Character design of original prince Adam.

Agreed.

I really enjoyed most of the villain sculpts from that series as well, aside from some scale issues (Two-Bad, Whiplash, etc.) there were some great figures. The action features were mostly just a nod to classic figures and something I am glad they left them out of the Classics line.

looks pretty good. i've never seen this piece before. congrats.:rock

Thanks man. The problem with this particular piece, besides the low amount made is that most of them are firmly planted in Motu collections. I will post some pics with the new classics with the door when it arrives! I really should have spent that money on a better camera. :duh

Pretty cool score, PZ! That door looks huge, it'll be a great centerpiece for you Masters collection! :rock

I had Thriller stuck in my head for the better part of the afternoon, so this was only a matter of time:
