Shoot, I could have sworn there was a thread with leaked info about a Hot Toys Marty McFly figure but I can't find it. Am I correct? Was there some hint or something from HT sometime last year?

The BTTF license was just mentioned as something Hot Toys said they would like to work on. Nothing concrete.

I think it's still happening. I've not heard anything otherwise. Think they extended the deadline to allow etailers and other folks to eek their orders in.

Mattel had stated they had met the quota they needed to move forward fairly quickly after the hoverboard initially went on sale, so no need to panic. They are coming out.

It's weird, but I feel the exact same way. I would pay upwards of 2 grand for a working hoverboard. BTTF is my favorite movie with Terminator 2, but a hoverboard that does not hover is broken to me and not worth the deposit IMO.

No hover no buy. Seriously it's 2012 ____ should hover at least.

I'm not sure I can put into words how ____ing awesome it is just to get an official Hoverboard from Mattel. One modeled after the movie prop itself. It will be as close to what MJF played around with as you can get and it actually will come from the same company as the film portrayed. _____ing that it doesn't hover is like complaining that eFX's lightsabers don't actually work, I mean come on its 2012, at give it a laser that emits out right? Or if Delorean made a replica of the Time Machine and _____ing that you can't even go back a day.

It's a prop replica, realistically sound is even a bonus as in the prop replica world a piece of molded plastic would be meeting that requirement. I was a bit skeptical on price before but after research the time and effort to go the customs route I'm juiced. December can't come close enough.

Are you mad because FX lightsabers don't actually function as they do in the movies? Are you disappointing because replica steampunk pistols, Serenity guns, and Stormtrooper blasters don't actually fire laser bolts?

BBTS probably ordered a bunch from Mattel during their pre-order window. That is what they are offering on their website right now. At a premium I might add. That is how they make their money on the Mattel online exclusives.

I don't agree at all. I'm not really complaining either, I just don't care for a hoverboard that wont hover. I don't really collect prop replicas either, however, I do appreciate the sound and light up feature of the efx lightsabers. I'm also not disappointed with Mattel for making this, as I 'm glad you are all getting what you want. But for me, 2012 or not, this just does not cut it. Besides, you know that as soon as people see it in your collection, the first thing they are going to ask is if it hovers
