I didn't like any EG that have been released so far. I saw protos for the M$M and to be honest, I actually kinda like it. It helps that I'm a big fan and I'm going to display it with a 4x6 picture that I took with him last month at a signing. Wish it would come with the Million $ Belt though...

Maybe it'll be improved for release but it looks to me like he's wearing a tuxedo version of one of those inflatable sumo suits :D

Cool that you met Ted, did you get him to do his laugh?

That Hogan/Rock match is all time favorite match! I haven't been interested in wrestling at all since the WWF became WWE, :monkey4 but Bret coming back has got me psyched up again.

Unfortunately I have to sit through Miz (i can't stand watching him and these other generic wrestlers ripping off the Rock relentlessly) and Hornswoggle  to watch the 10 minute Bret/Vince segments, but they're doing such a good job with the storyline that it's almost worth it :lol I've never ordered a ppv, but I might order this one as long as we don't have to see him in tag match with Cena :monkey4

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I hate the Miz, and I hate what they're doing to Chris Jericho's character :monkey4 I hope that Chris Jericho gets his act together. They weren't kidding(no pun intended) when they said they were going 'Kid Friendly'...damn that Hornswoggle!

I think that we may see Bret & Vince in a singles match, I'm hoping its not a tag match with Batista and Cena or worse a singles match with Cena and Batista with Vince and Bret in each corner. If it is, I'll be pissed. But the Cena Vs. Batista match alone would be cool to see. It also looks as though, Shawn Michaels could end up in a triple threat match with The Undertaker and Triple H which would be AWESOME! and Edge could have some technical 5-star match with Jericho for the title. We'll see what happens.

But I agree with you, ever since the WWF became the WWE it was never the same. And I've been waiting for the day for something good to happen. Could be now or never? But, I have to say I did like it in 2002 for some reason, maybe it was because of the begining of the brand extension, and the introduction of Brock Lesnar, along with the return of HBK, and the unforgettable debut of Eric Bischoff becoming the new general manager of RAW. I guess that all had something to do with me being interested. I attended Armageddon 2002, and that match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels was one of the best matches I had ever seen, was a true dream match in my opinion.

But WWE programming soon got stale the year afterward, all we would see is Evolution on RAW, and Kane's character was completely trashed when he took off his mask (only never to receive a push?). Then I stopped watching for a long time, I got back into WWE again after Eddie Guerrero's death, around that time, everything was so weird to me, because they had so many new talent on the shows. But I soon adjusted, and I very much enjoyed WM22, loved what they were doing with Edge, and there were some great angles in 2006 that were fun to watch like the return of the ECW brand and it's wrestlers, and the reuniting of D-Generation X. But as I'm sure you're aware by now, WWE always manages to screw up all the good and keep the bad (just like their PPV names).

What really upset me was in 2009. They were growing closer and closer to a new 'Attitude Era' with the Orton & Triple H feud. And within a months time then they ruined it; everything. WrestleMania 25 was terrible, a complete disaster with the exception of the HBK/Undertaker match, but WWE really screwed up. Before WrestleMania 25, RAW's ratings were increasing by large numbers. It hadn't been receiving numbers like that since 2002. But in their case, everything flopped at WrestleMania 25. So let's pray it doesn't happen again this year or else:banghead I'm going to stack all of my WWE merchandise up in a pile, set it on fire, and watch it burn to the ground!!.......haha, just kiddin' I'm not that crazy:lol

He drops survivor series but keeps Miz and Hornswoggle?:banghead

Yup. Survivor Series was one of the big 4 and I'm disappointed that he's dropping it in favor of PPV's called "The Bash" or something generic like "Elimination Chamber."

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Miz, but I'll say that he has come a long way from when he first started. Hornswoggle may be annoying but he's a huge cash cow for the WWE (which is good for business). The kids love him.

It might look better in person once it's released. there have been releases that looked pretty bad in protos (Elite 1 Punk) and looked amazing when released. Hopefully, the fig looks just as good upon it's release.

Yeah. Ted did his laugh on a few occasions! My buddy owns a sports card shop in Connecticut and brought him in for a signing. DiBiase brought the real Million Dollar Belt with him which was on loan from the Stamford offices. Only DiBiase and his agent, Bobby Riedell would hold onto the belt. He was okay taking pictures with fans w/ the belt as long as he held it. Ted was a very nice and humble guy throughout the signing. Had a great time!

Here is a skit they did in store:

Ricky Steamboat!?

I really thought I'd be done with wrestling figures when Jakks' Legends line was over. I'll just have to be more picky with Mattel's. At least that's what I say now.

my jakks line is so extensive and so huge All DA whoever was not made I made myself. and now I hate to admit it but the Mattel line is slowly making me hate them all...

damn it all to hell.

I used to like the Jakks line. But I hated the huge arms and the scaling was really (really) off (look at the Paul Bearer/Undertaker Classic 2 pack). Towards the end of the line, quality dropped off significantly. They really stuck it to collectors of the CS line when they decided to reissue CS1 & CS 6 figs lately. As much as I'd love a Jakks Sting. I'm not going to collect their TNA line.

I'm happy with Mattel right now, They are doing things the right way. They added chase belts that are a little easier for people to search for and collect. Plus they added unannounced variants/running changes to keep collectors of the line on their toes. WWE Mattel product really doesn't pegwarm in my area.

Just been to town on the hunt for Elite 2 Orton but no luck. However, I did see heritage Orton and picked him up! Cracking figure. I was a bit unsure because he doesn't have the updated tatoos but then it occured to me, it would be ace to have both of his different looks.

They actually look like humans as opposed to the jakks figures, which I loved as a kid. These look more real to me hence why I like them. I'm a big wrestling fan and Orton is my favourite. Sweet!

The Heritage Orton to me is inaccurate though so that's why I would not buy him, He always had a crew cut until a little bit after he got his full sleeve tats when he started to buzz his head like the heritage figure has

Suppose you're right mate but personally it doesn't take anything away from the figure for me!

I'm really excited for future Orton releases, basic series 3 is like heritage orton only with the newer tats.

I've only seen 2 of the chase belts. One was on Evan Bourne (Kmart) and the other was CM Punk that I Got off ebay. wish the belts were a little better looking though, cause as of right now they are a bit goofy.

True. They are goofy, but I like the way they give collectors another way to hunt after figures with these. The plus side is that they number each one of those belts with the wrestlers name. I haven't seen any chase belts at retail. I did win a 1/1000 Kane on ebay that should be on it's way shortly.

With the Jakks line, I found a Kofi Kingston 1/500 figure. The one thing I really liked was that it was diecast, colored in, and put on a leather strap. It's the last figure (and only) figure from Jakks that I decided to keep.

That's awesome! I met Mick Foley a few years back when he came to the UK for an indy show and he was pretty cool.

Seeing as how Mattel are releasing Steamboat in their first Legends lineup I wonder if the chances of Randy Savage finally getting a new figure have improved any?

WWE recently released a DVD with some of his matches on which would suggest whatever the heat McMahon has with him ( and aside from BS Internet rumors nobody really knows what it is ) has started to cool so maybe he'll be more likely to all clear a figure if Mattel ask although it also depends on what sort of cash Savage will demand.

Wonder if we'll ever get a Rock figure done by mattel? I hope so.

Speaking of wrestling, how cool is it that

Stone Cold is hosting Raw in a couple of weeks and there are rumours of the Rock taking on the host job semi-permanently in the summer!

I think it's a safe enough bet for the 2nd Legends wave.

Someone at wrestlingfigs.com has made a custom using Mattel body parts and a Rock head from one of the pre Ruthless Aggression style R3 figures and it looks damn good.

It'll be intresting to see if Mattel go for an Attitude era Rock or a more recent "Hollywood" version.

I think I would end up getting both versions if they were released. But they would prob release the attitude rock for their classics, and the current for a current line or heritage.

Have you got a link to the custom mate? Cheers.

I'd prefer it to be an attitude era version. Like early 2000's. That would be sweet.

Sure thing,

Re your other post I think I'd like both, an Attitude version from when he had the big sideburns and a more recent version with the full body tattoo.

That's awesome news on The Rock's possible return to WWE as even if he doesn't wrestle he'll inevitably outshine everyone else in terms of charisma.
