That Hogan/Rock match is all time favorite match! I haven't been interested in wrestling at all since the WWF became WWE,
but Bret coming back has got me psyched up again.
Unfortunately I have to sit through Miz (i can't stand watching him and these other generic wrestlers ripping off the Rock relentlessly) and Hornswoggle
to watch the 10 minute Bret/Vince segments, but they're doing such a good job with the storyline that it's almost worth it
I've never ordered a ppv, but I might order this one as long as we don't have to see him in tag match with Cena
Yeah, I know what you're saying. I hate the Miz, and I hate what they're doing to Chris Jericho's character
I hope that Chris Jericho gets his act together. They weren't kidding(no pun intended) when they said they were going 'Kid Friendly'...damn that Hornswoggle!
I think that we may see Bret & Vince in a singles match, I'm hoping its not a tag match with Batista and Cena or worse a singles match with Cena and Batista with Vince and Bret in each corner. If it is, I'll be pissed. But the Cena Vs. Batista match alone would be cool to see. It also looks as though, Shawn Michaels could end up in a triple threat match with The Undertaker and Triple H which would be AWESOME! and Edge could have some technical 5-star match with Jericho for the title. We'll see what happens.
But I agree with you, ever since the WWF became the WWE it was never the same. And I've been waiting for the day for something good to happen. Could be now or never? But, I have to say I did like it in 2002 for some reason, maybe it was because of the begining of the brand extension, and the introduction of Brock Lesnar, along with the return of HBK, and the unforgettable debut of Eric Bischoff becoming the new general manager of RAW. I guess that all had something to do with me being interested. I attended Armageddon 2002, and that match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels was one of the best matches I had ever seen, was a true dream match in my opinion.
But WWE programming soon got stale the year afterward, all we would see is Evolution on RAW, and Kane's character was completely trashed when he took off his mask (only never to receive a push?). Then I stopped watching for a long time, I got back into WWE again after Eddie Guerrero's death, around that time, everything was so weird to me, because they had so many new talent on the shows. But I soon adjusted, and I very much enjoyed WM22, loved what they were doing with Edge, and there were some great angles in 2006 that were fun to watch like the return of the ECW brand and it's wrestlers, and the reuniting of D-Generation X. But as I'm sure you're aware by now, WWE always manages to screw up all the good and keep the bad (just like their PPV names).
What really upset me was in 2009. They were growing closer and closer to a new 'Attitude Era' with the Orton & Triple H feud. And within a months time then they ruined it; everything. WrestleMania 25 was terrible, a complete disaster with the exception of the HBK/Undertaker match, but WWE really screwed up. Before WrestleMania 25, RAW's ratings were increasing by large numbers. It hadn't been receiving numbers like that since 2002. But in their case, everything flopped at WrestleMania 25. So let's pray it doesn't happen again this year or else
I'm going to stack all of my WWE merchandise up in a pile, set it on fire, and watch it burn to the ground!!.......haha, just kiddin' I'm not that crazy
