That's awesome news on The Rock's possible return to WWE as even if he doesn't wrestle he'll inevitably outshine everyone else in terms of charisma.

I gotta say. I'd love a skit with The Rock and Santino. It would be pure gold!

Mattel needs to do real belts very soon though. not those silly chase belts which are made up design.

The real belts are something that I've been anticipating since the start of the line. I hope when they release them, they will be a step up from Jakks.

seeing the amount of detail mattel has put into the ghostbusters and motu line, i think/hope they will rock the wwe figures.

Im sure the belts will be great,. Jakks had some decent belts but the majority were bad Im hopin g for metalic plated belts, fully painted and a nice soft leather band

I thought I was done collecting wrestling figures for good, I actually sold all of my classics (outside of flair, hart and hogan), but they keep pulling me back in:

and finally, The Snake himself, Jake Roberts:

This is awesome, but "The Best There is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be" is missing :banghead:mad::(:monkey4:confused:

Dont worry, Jericho is in series 4 of the elites.

Jake looks nice, could use his lower half for a custom of my figure...shame its tights and not pants. I saw the picture earlier but it was further back and harder to see them all.

Jakks = OWNED!

Jake, Rude & the Funker look light years better with the slimmer more, realistic styling of the Mattel parts and though his torso looks a bit too muscular the Iron Sheik is still wonderfully detailed.

If this is the quality of the first two Legends waves when Mattel are still finding their feet with the license, imagine how good things could get by waves 5-10!

No doubt the likes of Hogan and Flair will soon be touted as major omissions by the Mattel haters but I give it 18 months max before they both leave TNA and when that happens they'll inevitably make peace with Vince ( again ) and sign new Legends deals...................Flair Vs Steamboat 2-pack anyone?

That Rude is amazing...I can't wait until they get around to doing Mr. Perfect as well. Both willl be definate pickups.

Wow, so with this series Mattel has touched on three appearances I wanted from Jakks. This line is going to be hard to ignore and like others have said I thought I was done with wrestling figures.

I think bcm hits it on the head about Hogan and Flair. Bridges are burnt and reforged in wrestling too often. They will be made eventually.

Yeah and even if certain guys won't deal directly with WWE all Mattel need to do is get the green light from WWE for the figure and then make a seperate deal with the individual.

This was how Jakks got the OK for Ultimate Warrior, Bruno Sammartino and a few others........I think Bret Hart was one but obviously things have changed there and agreeing to a new Legends figure was probably part of his return deal.

I think Mattel have made a point of mostly going for attires that Jakks didn't do and considering the detailing they've shown so far I'll be intrested to see which of Warriors attire they go for as some of his airbrushed costumes were quite intricate.

One improvement I'd like to see on the Elites is articulated hands or failing that a set of interchangeable hands that are sculpted to have a wrestlers trademark gesture eg,

Jake "The Snake" Roberts = signalling for the DDT

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin = flipping the bird ( would never happen due to the inevitable complaints from parents )

Jakks sculpted RVD's hands doing his thumb pointing thing on a couple of figures and some for Cactus Jack's "Bang! Bang!" taunt which looked decent so if they could be offered as an extra along with a regular set I think it'd add a bit more individuality to certain figures.

I agree with the interchangeable hands comment, It would be great. Providing that infamous jeff hardy figure does hit the market, you could have his hands doing the hardy boys sign and stuff like that.

Great new line from mattel, they don't interest me as they were before my time but I can appreciate how good they look.

The best figure to come out of Toy Fair for me is the Legends series 1 Stone Cold. He has a t-shirt and his waistcoat!

Brilliant figure going off that shot. He is better than the heritage Stone Cold just for the leg articulation alone.

Gotta love the Legends line. I know right off the bat, I'm getting both EG figs (Million $ man, Piper), Rude, Steamboat, Austin.

Hopefully, Mattel will be able to get guys like Flair, Foley, Hogan, Nash, Hall, etc. signed in separate deals like Jakks was able to with Nash. He was clearly in TNA when they signed him to make that CS 11 Diesel fig. I'm thinking as long as Hogan is running the TNA ship, that he might be the toughest to get out of the bunch.

I'd love for Warrior America to be a regular release. Jakks did pretty well with Warrior, but I'd still like to see their interpretation of his WrestleMania VI attire.

Warrior was one of the few that actually looked accurate with the bulked up Jakks parts but I agree there's still room for improvement on his WM VI attire as neither Jakks version had 100% accurate attire as the Warrior symbols on the real kneepads and rear of his trunks had eyes on them.

Mattel could release 1 version with proper face/body paint with a yellow IC title then a variant weathered version with most of the paint missing and the World title.
