Bought both!! I'm pretty freaking jazzed about both especially my boy Maul.:maul

The base on the droids is pretty cool. It's no different than what they did for the SDCC Vader and everyone was ok with that.

SDCC Vader also wasn't $25 extra beyond the base price. And the lava droid is a brand-new sculpted piece...not a lame covering. And not making the droids die-cast. Sorry, but it's not worth $25...especially when one of Maul's hands will still have the control bracelet...just sculpted on permanently.

Great concept, but I hope the next expansion pack shows more imagination and is worth the price.

The covering is sculpted you realize that right? Also Chicky put this over at RS:

The inclusive version of the droid probe expansion pack comes with a control cuff as well as an additional sand textured base, so Maul can stand on the sand as well!

Yeah, I realize that (I said that in my original criticism BTW), and I still think it's lame. I've seen previous enviroments SSC has done, and this was a letdown. If it was like the lava droid, maybe it'd be worth it. But I wasn't expected a "sculpting skin" for a regular display stand. You won't even be able to do a wide stance without the figure being off the sand!!

Not worth the money. I hope the next expansion pack is better.

I think it would be cool if it came with two coverings - then we could use one for Maul and one for Qui Gon and re-enact the Tatooine battle.

It does. That's the "Inclusive exclusive" accessory...a second covering for another base. But still...the regular bases are so small that you can't do a wide-stanced saber fight without one foot on each figure not being on the "sand"

A ha...that's very cool then. I didn't catch that when I ordered. I'm like a kid on christmas with this stuff. Order now and post banana head comments, and then go back and read up on what I ordered. Thanks guys!

I just happen to see that you could switch it out before I ordered then saw Chicky's comment over at RS. I'm gonna be using that sandbase for sure on Maul.

They can both have the sand base unless you are using the other for Qui-Gon
