I was waiting for Rudy to just go.

"Oh that...that Obama! He's....ha...he's a big ol' stupid head! A big doo doo brain! STUPID DOO DOO HEAD!!1"

*audiance claps in awe*

I've been listening to this woman's speech for 10 minutes now, and all I've heard is negative rhetoric about her candidate's opponent without a dollop of discussion about any real issues. :( What a waste the Republican party has become. Which is saying something coming from me. I was a huge fan of Reagan and Big George back in the day.

But this? It's embarrassing. There's no intelligence to any of this. It's like the party has concluded that their party is made up of hillbillies and rednecks who don't possess a single rational, original conscious thought among them. Obama and Biden officially have my vote.

I'm not getting that vibe at all. first time I've heard her speak, and she is getting my respect.

She's a very attractive, well-spoken woman.

???? And this is different than the DNC because... Palin is listing her accomplishments and laying out what her ideas are. Much more informing and realistic than Obama's empty promises. What real plans did Obama list and how exactly to accomplish them? What experience does he have to accomplish these goals? She seems in line with T-Boone Pickens, who I support. She's actually a very well spoken woman.

Exactly my point! Exactly! How can anyone rationally accuse the Obama supporters of being sycophantic? At least there's something intelligent behind his campaign talk. When Obama's supporters cheer, they're cheering for something idealistic. Sure. But at the very least it's idealism with a thought or two behind it. All I'm hearing tonight is a bunch of vitriolic rabble-rousing. :(

Dude...get past that attractive thing. Right now. :lol She's sucking you in. :google

I doubt this, partly because of the way business intersects with the top income tax brackets, partly because we're primarily looking at capital gains and the estate tax and partly because anyone raising prices to offset their CEO's tax obligation is in for a PR nightmare and undercutting by rival businesses. Thompson was fearmongering, basically.

Yep - I meant to say "the equivalent of one in 300 Americans." One of the dangers of typing too fast! My math was wrong anyway. :duh

I'm sure you didn't post videos of Wright because you know they fail to support your silly claim he's a racist who hates America. :peace

The Darklord won't allow the videos because I posted them and he promptly removed them. Just do a google search....there are plenty of them. And I take it you don't actually own a business and pay payroll taxes, supply health insurance, etc. You have no idea and it's obvious. When the price of doing business goes up, then people lose jobs. The death and the estate tax are the dumbest taxes ever imposed on the American public.

That's what I am seeing too. I am watching this with an open mind, trying to see their policies... But I don't see it.

And last night's focus on veterans and service was extremely wrong IMO, it unnerved me a bit. I felt like it was exploitation of what our troops have done over there and the memories of vets like myself that served. It didn't serve any purpose at all except to make vets out to look like we are all Repubs that believe in the cause. I was slightly offended by it all.

And then Bush saying that it was thanks to him that we don't have terrorist attacks happening right now, and it's best for the country to stay Republican to avoid more in the future. That to me was the WORST thing... because it happened on HIS watch... During HIS time as President. And they had intelligence that it was going to happen in the first place, they just didn't do anything to stop it. :duh

I have to agree. She layed it all on the table. Obama just gave promises.

No, no, no. That was just you wishing she was laying you out on the table, you sick Freak. :lol Wake up! Get it right!

And keep in mind that, at this point, all that any candidate can do is promise. Which is all that she did this evening. It's just that her promises were backed by nothing but unfounded claims of Republican credit for the last 7 years of a terror-free America.

Actually.....the whole terrorism thing was the democrats fault because of Clinton! Research before bashing Bush. Clinton let Osama get away and it was his fault that 9/11 happened. Go take a look at The documentary "The Path to 9/11" and do some research. You'd be quite surprised.

Clinton allowed Osama to grow into more power. However, people fail to realize that. Again though I will lay fault on Bush for not going after his ass. We should have spent far less time in Iraq and more time in terrorist country.

She accomplished quite a lot in Alaska in a very short period of time. What do you want? You already made your mind up, so it's all rhetoric with you anyway...

I've done the research... I'm not saying it was all Bush's fault. It's not. I'm just saying that Bush cannot claim that it is because of him that we are "terror free".

Having served in the military, and having visited several foreign countries during that time... Bush policies have hurt our global image and done nothing to build confidence in what we stand for as a people. And taking credit for our safety is not right... We aren't necessarily more safe, we've lost liberties along the way, and we are watched more closely... but we are most certainly NOT safe.

I would just like anyone I mean ANYONE to tell me just how bad the past 8 years for them were and how they lay direct blame on the president. ANYONE? I do mean personal and not stories from the news.

Josh I have to say.....Having served in the military and by that I mean a true grunt I have to disagree. Our global image has always been hurt due to our military. This is nothing new. People fear us and even make up stories. Granted it is not always true.

Well, I was verbally accosted by a group of people who opposed the war. They saw that I was military and wanted to tell me how they felt. It actually got a bit heated and I had to walk away or I probably would have been attacked, even though I agreed with them.

Also, due to our economy... I have been unable to find work for half a year at anything over minimum wage.... My bills are higher, even though I am conserving energy... and I have to watch as every paycheck gets tighter and tighter and my Wife gets more and more stressed...

I know it's not Bush personally, but rather what his Presidency has cost us.

Oh nothing wrong with her looks. But man. I have nothin agenst guns, but something about that pic unerves me.

you guys do know that pic is fake, right?

That Palin lady still scares the crap out of me though.

You are right to a point, but it's gotten worse. We weren't ALWAYS looked at as oppressors. There was a time when we were lauded as heroes and looked at with respect. Those times have gone bye bye since WWII... sadly.
