Utter nonsense. In fact as he pointed out at the time doctors are already required by law to protect fetuses born alive during abortion procedures.

And yet Obama voted against it. Buy into the empty promises he says with his mouth all you want. When he had his chance to vote, he went against protecting children born after a failed abortion. His fear that Roe vs. Wade might be overturned as a result caused him to oppose those who are born in favor of the "right" to kill those who aren't. A real humanitarian.

Right - because its ostensible goals were already covered by current law and the state version of the legislation (the one he opposed) did not include a key provision in the federal version of the legislation (the one he supported).

Just curious how you can say that is a smear when you casually say Ron Paul is a racist and you haven't backed it up. Are you refering to the CNN report about his newsletter that was dug up during the primaries? It is regretful that some of those who have attached themselves to his campaign are racist. But, I'm sure Obama isn't too thrilled with Rev. Wright and some of his other past associations popping up in the spotlight. If Ron Paul is guilty by association, then Obama must be too.

How can you possibly say Obama is against protecting babies when he's trying to make sure every last one of them has health care (unlike McCain who is apparently content to let them suffer until they have to access the emergency room)? And "unborn baby" is an oxymoron.
