I do in fact own a business. Not all business owners are driven by greed, and we don't all start firing employees just because our tax obligation rises. A significant number of business pay no taxes anyway. Time to step up.

Please. They both just gave promises. That's what these speeches are for. In fact it's impossible to do anything but give promises because they're not in office yet.

Time to step up? Step up to what? I do more than my share with profit sharing, 401K plans, health insurance, bonuses, etc. What do you do?

And no the estate tax is plain stupid. You tax the living while they are alive and then tax them when they are dead, so that nothing gets passed along to your loved ones. Just idiotic.....

Palin has accomplished more in 18 months than most governors do in a lifetime. That shows that she has the goods to back it all up. Obama has what? Running a campaign? Being a community organizer (whatever that means...Jesse Jackson?)?

You are right to a point, but it's gotten worse. We weren't ALWAYS looked at as oppressors. There was a time when we were lauded as heroes and looked at with respect. Those times have gone bye bye since WWII... sadly.

Even if Cheney hadn't radically expanded the role of vice president, I'd suggest this is a red herring. McCain is 72 years old and has endured four battles with cancer. Anyone thinking of voting McCain/Palin without seriously considering Palin as president needs their head examined.

I will proudly support McCain or Palin as my next president.

Well, there were a lot floating around of Obama that were totally photoshopped too, but have a ton of Repubs fooled. Sorry, just wondering, as I have seen photos of her posing beside dead, bloody animals and sitting on a couch made out of a bear, complete with head intact. Which to me is almost as hideous as this one, and probably real.

No freakin way am I gonna vote McCain and no way will I recommend that anyone else does. Just me.. what I believe.

Those rights are being restricted from enemy combatants, who are neither citizens, nor entitled to the same protections that we are.
