Just cast him as my man Cyclops:

Then get some hot redhead for Jeannie:

Loganstans can go cry in the corner or whatever.

Cavill would be an excellent Cyclops. I could also see him as a villain too for something different. The man could be a great Magneto. If Warner wont continue having him as Superman then let Marvel put him to good use. D.C. Universe is falling apart for shared universe. Jeffrey Wright is a great actor but him being Gordon in the Batman movie already changes the fact that this is the same universe for Batman.

As long as it's a real redhead or blonde. Famke Janssen is a beautiful woman and talented actress, but she can't pull off the redhead look, her complexion is too dark.

With current Hollywood it'll probably be a much, much darker actress... But I remain optimistic. Literally the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Jean Grey is her red hair. Honestly I just hate all the love triangle ******** and whatever they did past the 90s to them. Why can't a single couple stay together in comics? Hell, in what world would a woman choose a raging manlet with knifehands, over the 6'3" leader of the pack? But noooooo comic writers have to self-insert as Logan for whatever reason, and keep them apart. I WANT MUH JOTT DAMMIT!

He's got the look and the charisma down. It's honestly perfect casting.

Eh, dunno. He's got a pretty good natured face and "aura". He was good as the villain in MI though, so I could see him as one. Y'Know, I wouldn't mind him as Doom, all things considered. But I'd prefer him as someone like Cyclops.
The man could be a great Magneto.
Well, usually you want a middle aged guy for Magneto due to WWII, which can be explained with slowed aging. Or they can divorce him from that and pick another period with conflict. The Balkans had a couple more recent ones, so there's that. They could always go the Ultimate route. Dunno, when I think of Magneto I think of a guy around his 50s. Fassbender played young Magneto so it was different.

Who even knows what's going on with the DCEU at this point.

Some great points being made. Cavill as Cyclops would be awesome. Jessica Chastain seems to be the hottest and best red-headed actress out there. And I agree, the whole love triangle has been played out and Feige is pretty good about not re-treading plotlines or villains. Mr. Sinister needs to be done and from the animated series, he had a linkage to Jean and Scott. I would like to see that played out. Magneto can wait til X-Men 2. To round out the roster, Prof. X, Beast and Storm is enough for the first film. Throw in Graydon Creed and the Friends of Humanity and now we're cookin.

Chastain's almost a decade older than Cavill. Just go with an unknown. I really liked Anne Bonny in Black Sails:

And I'll be honest, the draw of the X-Men for me were mainly Cyclops, Jean, Cable and Mr. Sinister. Generally the Summers story. Then X-Force, Rogue, Gambit, Fantomex, X-Factor,... My point is that I never cared that much for the soap drama and didn't have a boner for Wolverine. He was cool and I liked him, but my mains were Scott & Jean. It's why even though I love Morrison's run, it kinda pisses me off. These days I'm not that into the Muties, but I have soft spots for them as I love the general concepts, even if I find the exections rather bland. As for the rest, honestly, I don't give a single solitary **** about poorly thought out allegories anymore. The X-Men became a hit because of crazy Sci-Fi ********tery. Give me the Brood, the Shi'ar, Sugar-Man, the High Evolutionary, whatever, just go all out. Hell, give me the Star-Jammers and make a "Treasure Planet" spiritual sequel with Corsair.

I just pray that the casting will be accurate...

He's preparing to film his death scene, at which point his sister replaces him and becomes the superior Black Panther.

Shuri-Black-Panther-female-Marvel-Comics.jpg

Phase 4 is shaping up to be nothing but a build towards A-Force aka All Female Avengers, so Shuri becoming Black Panther wouldn?t even be shocking.

Gonna have girl Thor, girl Hawkeye, girl-Iron Man, She-Hulk... with Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch on the team as well.

He's playing a role in a move where he's a Vietnam veteran from what I remember. That probably means he's got a role as a POW.

One of the more interesting interpretations I've heard regarding how to handle Magneto is have him be a victim of the Rwandan genocide. I think that would be interesting, seeing as we're getting a bit far from WWII. But to adapt that, then you'd have to account for Magneto being younger or, at the least, age him up for the historical event so he'd be older in modern Marvel time.

And while we're at it, if we are spitballing non-traditional castings, Giancarlo Esposito could make for a great Professor X.
