Maul should look a little big headed, normal head, short body. The hood on the robe looks as I suspected, larger and more accurate than Sideshow's, that'll be one big plus to this figure.

Thats the only pic where it looks really bad. Other than that I'm all aboard. I just hope they fix the leather look as it comes off cheap looking IMO.

Yep, that's the one. The hood looks great and the death stare he's got goin' on under it are awesome. I'm not too crazy about the pleather stuff though.

That one pic of him holding his ignited twin blades makes his head look almost detached and definitely oversized.

Yeah I was making a point, it was like OMG its the best ever based on a few pics, where one pic has crappy looking pleather stuff, that looks like it was leftover from Vader and they were like we can us it on Maul, or the bobble head Maul pic.

Not to mention is only a few bucks short of 3 times the price.

Yeah the expression is great,the robes look incredible as well.I wonder if SWS will get this one.

I'm very happy with my SSC Maul so even if Medi's looks better in hand than what these pics show I doubt I'm gonna shell out $150 for him. Besides when you look at the picture JustineLuck just posted and look at your SSC Maul they are just about the same. Even the expression is the similar.

Wow, this is gonna give me a huge dilemma. I'd already decided to avoid the Medi Maul and stick with my SS as I was perfectly happy with the SS version. However, this head sculpt is amazing and I love the expression.... its totally bad a$$.
I agree with Josh though, that the pleather looks a bit nasty, but I'm sure they will sort that out before production. And, yes the head does look slightly too big. Overall its slightly better than the SS version on these initial photos. However, I'll need more photos before I decide if its $90 better.

Your Sideshow Vs. Medicom feuds are pretty weak....Jedi Rob Who ??? You should have seen back in the good ole days when it was guys like Evil Face, Nash,Me, Snake Beater,Dekadent Dave and the Super Fan who were fighting....Those were the days...

This isn't a competition, I'm just expressing my opinion. I saw some of the arguments. Wasn't impressed. That was when I was a lurker here long before I got into collecting SS/Medicom/Hot Toys stuff.

True, though for now, IMHO, Medi's Maul is tops in everything but clothes.

If you watched Star Wars episode 1,you would have noticed right when darth maul appears in the doorway during his first fight with obi and qui gon that there is pleather on his robe.You really only see it in that scene because of the way he's posing.:maul

Looks like medi maul have real gloved hands. Can his glove be removed? How bout the boots? Flexible rubber luke BBI's or stiff plastic like sideshow? I just wish sideshow would finally start to use flexible rubber for boots instead of stiff plastic,its just a waste of ankle articulation to me if you cant use it due to the stiff boot
