I was also able to raise vader's hieght a bit without using any additional risers. Thanks

No sweat, it was just another WTF moment with the figure. I was futzing with his clothes and took off his boots to check out the base figure while I was doing it and noticed them and was shocked, he absolutely doen't need them and having them only enhanced the skinny 12 year old boy look of the figure. Medi's body still looks to thin but taking the extensions off makes a difference.

Is there a way to swap the neck out as well?

I'm sure you can pop it out, the problem is, the neck looks like standard Medicom, I don't think they have another connector between the head and the torso. The issue is, on some figurs you can conseal it with the clothing, but the undershirt and tunic of Maul are made from such a thin material, you're only option to hide is to puff out the clothes so they look baggy, which to me kills the look of the character, or put some padding in which helps some but not entirely. If the neck adapter were deeper down in the torso, I think you'd still have a great range of motion having the second joint at the base of the head, and the anatomy would still look right.

Well,he looks a lot better now that I took them extenders off.All I have to do now is apply the tissue technique.

Pay attention to placement on the shoulders in the front, the way it puffs out his shirt you can see tissue from some angles if you don't keep it more towards his arms.

I think with the neck issue I'll keep him in his Tatooine robe when he arrives. I've got the SSC battling with my Qui Gon and Obi (from sunoch sculpt:D) so I'll pose this Medi Maul either alone on the Tatooine base or I'll have to pick up a cheap Qui-Gon and use my exc. poncho that's been sitting in its box for quite a while now.

Anyway, looking forward to getting him in hand.

With padding and the right viewing angle, the neck is a mute point, but basically only favorable for photos like I do, on a shelf, you're bound to see him some angle and go daaaamn. Robes on he rocks.

Moot point? The neck with padding from any angle is fine i don't see giraffe neck anywhere on mine. And i also don't see the padding from any angle(maybe i just did it well:))The neck is really a non issue especially with padding on the shoulders, and darthneil don't even fret it looks way worse in photos than in person you made a good choice you'll love him.(but i would suggest padding the shoulders to get the most outta this figure)Edwint usually mods his figs in some way or another and the fact that he doesn't feel the need to at this point should say something. ENJOY!

Difference in opinions. With padding, it doesn't look Giraffe like as out of the box, but there is still something off about the way the clothes fall on it and even in your pictures I think the way the costume wraps around the neck doesn't look right, soemthing feels off. With padding and thicker costume I think it'd be hidden but padding can only go so far and the paper-thin costume is still a problem. Unfortunately, the way the Medi and SSC costumes differe in construction, there's no way to blend them well to match the movie look and bulk up the fiugre.

Yeah, there is a neck issue for sure on this figure. Denying it really is silly. It takes away (some) from what is a very nice figure.

Anyone still looking to get Maul, looks like SSC is selling some through SWS like their own figures, but don't hold your breath for the broken boxes deal, I really think it's the same situation as when SWS sells SSC figures, not getting it from Medicom, particularly because they're using Sideshow's images and not Medicom's.

Are you referring to me saying there is no neck issue? Cause i said there only wasn't one if there was some shoulder padding added. Oh wait i'm on ignore you can't read this what was i thinking?
