Man 2.0 Maul is like 170$ shipped from amiami. I'm seriously thinking of breaking my no prequel rule.

How can SS charge 220$ when it's 140 from ami?

Over 100$ more in some cases for shipping? Vader 2.0 on their site is 174$ plus shipping. Vader on SS is 299$ plus shipping. (3po is 140 on their site, it's over 240 for SS)

No i think i'll chalk it up to SS being a tad greedy.

I picked up a 2.0 Maul last night. This guy is awesome.

Anything to keep an eye out for in terms of breakage on the re-release? I'm trying to be as careful as possible due to the bad things I have heard...but so far he seems pretty sturdy. Honestly, I think the face, cloak, boots, and articulation blow the SSC version away. No contest, except for the light saber that comes with the SSC has sharper saber-blades. That's really the only area I can give the SSC version a compliment over this figure.

This guy is great!

and the belt.

I would like to buy the belt and saber of the sideshow version Darth Maul... Anyone have an Idea of where to score either or both of those items?

Keep a eye on the forum's. I picked up a extra light one side and unlight sabers for $10 ship.

Yes. The belt is real leather on the SSC maul which makes it better and more realistic. I bought the whole figure for like $45.00 shipped and sold off everything else in pieces except the belt and a saber. Ended up getting it for free cause I broke even.

Great, thanks, I will eventually get around to swapping the belt and lightsabers.

Quick question. Who has the better outfit? After some back reading, I still cant figure out which one is better. I just picked up both Medis and SS for 160.00. I want to combine the best of both. For what I gather, I should use:

Medi's Head, hands, boots and robe

SS's Belt, light sabers,

Hot Toys slim body

I'm still not sure about the outfit, not clear cut. I read the likes but not the whys and why nots. Which one is better? Thanks in advance.

It's a matter of opinion really. I think the medicom is better. The reasons are:
1. It's dyed a darker black(better) cause the SS looks faded.
2. The tailoring seems a lot better. A bit more detail and such.
3. The material seems a lot nicer than SS. It's much thicker and almost a silky kind of feeling. The SS is cotton I think.
4. The SS is bigger but the Medi outfit fits nicer.
5. The robe is a thicker material, is doubled and has better detail. The SS is cotton I think and doesn't hang as nice as the Medi.

That's just my opinion.

Then Jim and I share that same particular opinion.

I agree totally, I finally saw an SS version in hand recently and whilst it is very good, I am still glad that I opted for the Medicom v2.
