Medicom figures were generally smaller than ht and ss figures, however this is same height as ht figures, so not sure why you are dissapointed!

Yes. Medicom figures are usually about 300mn or 11.81 inches. Close enough to be translated to about 5'9". So any character they make that is supposed to be this height comes out in perfect scale for movie accuracy. Jango, Luke, and Maul all fit into this category. Although Jango and maul's height are almost perfect their build is a bit too gaunt but that can easily be remedied with some padding. Vader on the other hand is quite a bit out of scale compared to his movie counterpart. Even though the medicom armor helmet and accessories have a great sculpt and look to them, Vader just does not measure up when posed next to other 1/6 scale figures. Some don't mind the scale issue and are completely happy with the figure. It's really a matter of what you like in your collection.
Speaking on that great mod you did , Jim; I don't think you have to use an black body, do you? A black neck piece of course, but couldn't you just use the regular caucasian HT Slim? Maul is completely clothed. I just figure the regualr slim is easier and cheaper to find.

As a matter of fact your probably right. I think the only place the body might show is the chest. The outfit may not cover the whole body but it's worth a shot.
Ah. Maybe a bit of paint would work. One of these days ill get around to picking up Maul and doing your mod.

I have finally succumbed to the dark side. Bought one and received it. Awesome figure. This is my first Star Wars figure and I hope it's the last. Gotta stick to my basketball figs....

Thanks Jim. I got the 1st version from someone who sold it cheap (about $100) but I'm already thinking of customizing it. If it break, no worries. I'll just follow your recipe and he'll be back to life.

I have a reissue or the second version and since i dint have first one to compare it with i can still say that the body is still very weak. So you are not losing out on anything. The headsculpt is gorgeous though! .. Enjoy the figure!

Caved in and ordered a Medi myself. 100% agreed on your post Sulla, I will put simple black leather boots on him. Might also increase posability.

I would love for them to come out with a deluxe set that contained a set of mechanical legs (a la The Clone Wars animated series) and regular legs, but that is just a fantasy I suppose.
I love the character but the fig always looked Toyish to me (as I own a 12" Mattel Maul I've been looking to unload).
The pictures in this thread have swayed me though. He'll look killer next to my SS Vader and Malgus.
Perhaps I'll try my Retaliation Snake Eyes boots as a replacement for the boots Maul comes with.

I'm picking one up as soon as I can. I have the SSC and I like it, but that Medi one looks super cool. Especially with the SSC clothes.
