There's probably a spot we can squeeze him into haha.

holy crap maulfan! i don't think i've ever seen your maul collection before. that is pretty cool!! wonder if i'll ever be able to afford the maul PF. do you have that 12" item that was released around the time of TPM (i think it's a coin bank) where you press a button and maul starts moving his arms and saber. and you could connect obi-wan and qui-gonn on either side to have them all interact and kick 2 shades of crap into each other? my sis has those. i think it's motion activated too.

It's nice ... but I HATE HATE HATE Medi's sabers for the same reason I hated Hasbro's. These are sabers/swords not rounded rods. The gloves look to be nice but the outfit looks a little tight and a plastic belt? Shenanagins! If you're gonna charge $130 or so at least give me a leather belt.

Oh Damn! The old plastic belt routine. We are talking 12" figure's here? I would expect a plastic belt on a 12" but not a PF.This crap about Medicom using plactics belts is a poor excuse for a cop out if I've heard one.The belts medi uses look great in plastic.

It's not a cop out. It's a legit critique of a $130 product. Sideshow gave us a leather belt at their price so I don't see why Medi doesn't at their price. Also like I said I hate the colored rod design of the sabers as I did Hasbro. I don't see any marked improvement over the outfit. Gloves are a bit nicer with more detailing and the boots are... well the boots. Blame the clunkyness on the production designer that worked on Maul.

My only issue really with Jango is the belt. Which is plastic. If you're gonna make it plastic then use something that will hold up. Not break right out of the box. If it was a thin leather I could have understood but plastic should be a bit tougher. Kind of sucked having to glue it back together 5 mins after getting it. Especially at the price the Medicom figures are. Other wise I've been very happy with Jango and my other Medicom figures.

When I had the FullMetal Medi figures I was happy with them overall and if I were collecting the Medi Star Wars I'd probably be happy overall too but the plastic belts are a huge turn off for me along with the light feel of the body. Every time I tried to get FMA Ed into a dynamic pose I was afraid I would break him :lol Man I miss those figures. Should try and get those back along with the SM3 figures.

I'm surprised Medicom uses plastic for the belts. I'm not sure of the reason why especially since the figures do cost a decent amount. It's not a major issue for me but I do understand where it could be for some. The funny thing is that if something like this gets brought up against Medicom then that person is making some kind of cop out. Where as if the same thing is brought up about SS(by the people calling it as a cop out vs Medicom) then its a legitimate gripe. You don't get to have your cake and eat it too. :lol

Compare the belts on Medi Jack Sparrow to HT Jack Sparrow and tell me it's a cop out.

I agree Josh. For a higher price point I hold a higher standard. Medi's anime and comic stuff is fantastic. The realistic stuff.. well Maul and the Fetts set a new standard but not to the point where I would bow down at Medi's feet. Now if they started doing leather belts and got rid of the lightrods and then made a Luke or Leia with likenesses that matched Jango and Mauls quality I'd probably look at getting those. Basically I'd like to see marked improvements before I buy into a second Star Wars doll line.

As far as appearance, Medi's plastic accessories are alright for the most part, though real leather and such lookst more authentic. My issue with the uses of plastic for belts and such is the limitations of it, it's cast in one size and that's it and in some cases, it doesn't sit well on the figure and you have to play games to work it, such as Jack Sparrow's belt. Granted, Sideshow's Maul and Jedi belts are also made to be a certain fit with the holes, but to sacrifice looks for fitting, companies could employee connectors for belts that allow the collector to fit them onto the figure as they wish. Real materials also have some give them them where you can stretch them a bit beyond factory, but plastic isn't very flexible, especially as thick as a lot of the Medicom stuff is.

I had to glue the back connection on my Medi-Jango belt as well, really was not that big of a deal.

After getting both Fetts I think the plastic belt looks better on Jango than Boba.

Time will tell which is better leather or plastic when we all have disentagrated SSC belts. :monkey1

The only problem I have with Medicom,my own experience being the plastic splits on the seams of the shins on both my Fetts which really is unexceptable for a figure of this price.Which gives me doubt about purchasing Medi-Maul or any more RAH. :monkey2

They both have their pros & cons I guess.I really like the subtle realistic poses that can be achieved with the RAH body over the buck.I just wish they were built more Tonka tuff.

think about all those poor animals that had to die for that leather :monkey2
maul was a vegetarian. the belt in the film was actually made from cotton with a seran wrap coating to make it look like leather. so plastic is pretty accurate too.
