Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I think the new pics show them for they are. Good 1/6 figures for @ $100. But at $175, these are WAYYYY overpriced. Bats cape is hidious. :horror And nothing looks good @ Joker. Again, I am being so harsh because of their price. I'd be praising and pre-ordering them at $100.

I'll wait to see what Sideshow has to offer us. Like Void said, I'll be they are much more worth it.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I've seen worse pricing. This 'Play Arts Kai' figure is $114.99US at BBTS, & it's not even 1/6 scale :slap

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

But comparing these 2 Medicom 1/6 @ $175 to $200 Hot Toys is laughable. Its like comparing a Hyundai ( which is nice, I own one ) to a Mercedes. Both nice, but the Mercedes has all the bells and whistles. High end trim. The Hyundai is more basic.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

We don't even know what accessories this figure comes with though. Might have some bells & whistles of it's own :dunno

I kinda like the SSC Batman as well, but the head sculpt is a let down. In both looks, & proportion. I like the Medicom head sclupt way better, & it has that comic head to body ratio that I like. But the SSC Batman seems to be of higher quality, & I think would look really good with a custom Batman sculpt on it. There's room for both in my collection :D

I have been singing the praises of the SSC comic figures to high heaven but I definitely will be buying the RAH versions. They'd look nice together and will be probably the same height with Joker being a bit taller as expected. I hope Medi continues with this line. It has a lot of potential.

Until hot toys develop a hush batman and joker it's kind of irrelivant. Sure a merc has more bells and whistles then a hyundai..but if you're lucking to enter a hyundai race, the merc has absolutely no value what so ever.

People looking for comic style batman and joker arnt going to find a begins or TDK batman more appealing.

Hell, the fact these are jim lee designs put them head and shoulders above anything movie related hot toys can come up with imo....no matter how many bells and whistles hot toys figs may have.

I agree with all that. But I was only comparing the quality to price value of each. And there is none IMO. I will wait for SS to reveal their DC line. So far I thing SS 's look way better. But ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. I don't care for the scrawny legs on the Medicom bats at all.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I still can't quite decide. I definitely prefer the hush head to SS's.

Do SS figs still have trouble standing without the stand? All HT, 3A, and Medicom figs in my collection can stay standing by themselves over the course of a year but my SS figs all shelf dive within a day, most of the time instantly. It's extremely frustrating. I guess I'll find out for myself since they pulled me back in with their Tusken and Snowtrooper.

absolutely agreed. this figure is far more appealing to me than the dark knight batman or even the keaton figure (which i do own).

these new photos really show what a terrific looking figure this is.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Love the new waist up pic of Batman-it looks badass! leaning towards getting this

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Like the Joker's clothing in this particular pose/shot:

If only they made a better facial expression, like the SS one, I'd have no second thoughts about getting him. He looks like the surprised lolcat right now:

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I hope they make more comic versions, like a Tim Sale, Neal Adams or Frank Miller Bat.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

The Joker is a decent representation of Lee's art. It just looks more like a marionette to me. So pass. Going back and forth on Bats since Sideshow announced their comic version. Only so much money available. I would love to see a Jim Aparo version though.
