Looks great, but will surely be more for a static display. The bunching up of the costume is a bit distracting and will surely hamper poseabilty. I have this on pre-order already and will keep it, but I'm still hoping (against hope) that NECA will downsize their fantastic 22" figure to 1/6 scale.
As for HT... nothing I've seen so far makes me believe they'll deliver an accurate alien.

Sigh, Sideshow... nice figure, but why so expensive. Again it's cheaper elsewhere: $153 @ Alter Ego.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I see this ALIEN more justifiable for the money than Indy and Star Wars figures of comparable pricing.

Well, Sideshow sets the MSRP and sells it at that price and the resellers sell it at a discount. That's how it works for everything that Sideshow sells.

Well, there is talk of SSC marking things higher of late for whatever reason, even some Hot Toys products, I don't care to get into that debate, I just take things as I see them. SSC charges what they do, and it's my choice as a consumer if I want to pay it or not. For the CS coverage, the cancellation freedom and everything, I'm going Sideshow because everything always works out with them for me, and I'd rather stick with dependable folks than window shop for bargains and maybe get into a jam later.

Well, SSC is too expensive for all things that don't have exclusives, as far as I'm concerned. The trade-off is that you often get your stuff earlier through Sideshow compared to some other companies.

Some valuable points there. But the cost is high. Also, I think there are quite a few very reliable resellers around, that charge at a more realistic price point, wouldn't you agree?

...on the poseability I hope the fig won't be that constricted...So maybe if NECA produces a 1/6 scale it should be 15 1/2 inches? No more no less? I think I will have to cancel my SSC stormtrooper for this guy...

That's right, good point again! But unfortunately, that doesn't help the European/international collectors a lot. We get our stuff usually three to four weeks after it ships in the US. And we pay high dollar for shipping to.

Quite frankly, I'm expecting poseability to be ^^^^e on this figure.
I mean, even the feet are within the rubber suit! WTF? Totally silly.

I'm in two minds on this one. I'm really not in to rubber suits after my Hot Toys AVP warriors split at the back. Bearing in mind I'd hardly touched the damned thing. Still the head on the Medicom is looking pretty cool, but not as accurate as the NECA.

Well, with identity theft and all, I'm pretty hesitant just who I do business with, it took me a lot of checking with people who's opinion I trust just to do business with Toys 2 and BBTS. I pretty much send my business to SSC, Toys 2 or BBTS.

I assume the reason its cheaper at Alter Ego is that they buy from Sideshow and then we get the 10% discount or $17 off. Used to be 15%, ah for those days of extra savings

Plus, Abake would never let me live it down.
(Still got my 15" Mac custom coming bro! And much much more! NECA repaints also!)
