Medicom's R2 and 3PO

I think Medicom made excellent detail on this toy, but the scale and some actual parts on the real prop didn't refect on it.

Price is not we mostly concern, however fans still waiting a perfect looking C-3po and Han solo figures.

body is too small, so make the head looks too big and arms look too long

Then again, I sure hope Sideshow isn't using their 1:1 versions from Barton for reference on the 1:6 figures. That would be a nightmare.

it reminds me of an amusement park and 3PO is the sign that says "you must be this tall to ride" and poor R2 has to wait another year cuz he isn't tall enough yet.

Look how small R2's dome is in proportion to his own body.

Medicom, you've been making too many super-deformed figures. Now your 1:6 figures can't even be in scale within themselves individually.

I don't have faith that they can sorry. I'm totally fine with these, scale schmale i say. Never bothered me, only thing that does is price. And i know they will be cheap eventually.


(Kinda sick of SS waiting to do everything last.) Same goes for medi though, wish they woulda made an ESB Luke or Emperor.) Whoever makes things first gets my $. And i dig Medicom's style, don't really care what anyone thinks about that.

And what is up with R2's dome? It looks good in some pics and tiny in others.

Man, I hope Sideshow does a better job with these.

I think SS will do a better sculpt of these characters but, just maybe! paint application will not be as good as Medicom.

As for the height of R2, he is about a inch or inch and a half shorter then what he should be.

I'm so glad I don't know how to nitpick R2 He looks good enough to me and I just want one to display by himself on my computer desk, but like OSCORP said, I'll willing to wait on the right price before buying one

I'm in two minds about these now. On one hand they look pretty good especially R2, but then on closer inspection (and bear in mind i'm not normally bothered about inaccuracies) I keep getting drawn to 3PO's weird face and those out of proportion hands...that aside, i've never been fussed about height issues and they'll just be used as background characters for my eventual Jabba display anyway...Just debating if i want to lay down the dollars for them. Overall though i have to say i like them a lot particularly the realistic paint apps.
BTW LOL @ the SS fanboys who still insist (with no foundation to their argument) that SS's non existent versions will be better...keep the wet dream alive ladies PMSL
