It's funny how some people who are speculating right now don't even follow the books or hasn't followed Marvel for quite some time.

If not for new ideas we would have a Wolverine who was actually a mutated wolverine. (the animal, yes.)
The same ideas that gave us Planet Hulk & the fantastic transition of James Barnes into the new Cap.

Ignorance is bliss. :dunno

Yeah, in anything Marvel related, it seems like the only thing acceptable is the 90's look of a character. Me, personally, I love change. I hate Cyclops current suit since Whedon's original look was my personal favorite, but at least I think the X-Men like Colossus, Nightcrawler, etc are wearing some of the best looking costumes they've ever had, IMO. Same goes with Bleeding Edge Iron Man, I loved the look of that suit from the moment we were shown pics of it last year.

This thread actually feels like deja vu to that one last year:lol But I don't really care, I'll spend the few bucks to pick up the Spidey issue where this Venom's introduced and will just see if my interest will carry into his spinoff:dunno

Comics have been around for so long you have to give credit to them for even coming up with good stuff occasionally. Seriously, how do you keep a character fresh for 40 years? There's gotta be some bad ideas mixed in with the good. Comics are little more than soap operas for males.

What does the Bleeding Edge Iron Man suit look like? I only read the TPB's so I'm always behind on things. :lol

Yeah, it's always a hit or miss when they try to do something new and you're always gonna have people who like it or don't, but I think the original argument was about how alot of people always have an opinion even if they they don't even keep up with the stories at all.

Thanks for the pic. I don't see how that suit is any better or worse than any other. The points of light at the joints are a bit odd, but not bad.

It is funny how people who don't read the books want everything left exactly as it was when they stopped reading. :lol

Well its confirmed, this venom will be working for the government to take out high priority threats. I was thinking about this and maybe this could lead to some interesting stuff, government agent learning how to use the suit, combining it with government training...controlling the symbiote...

anyway...im gonna try and be positive on this one...

being that I DO actually read comics :hi5:

:goodpost:

Yep, like I said before. That's what Osborne tried to do with the suit. Keep it in check & locked away, then release it & Gargan on special missions. Big difference was that Gargan has no military training, so maybe whoever's wearing it now will have more success with controlling the Symbiote.

This idea actually works perfectly following what they did with the character in Dark Reign. Still could be crap, but the creative team is very good on this one - so I'll remain optimistic until something is released.

I wonder what conclusions people who don't keep up the the X-stories will come up with this:lol

I like the idea of Cyclops going too far, but the Magneto costume on him is just bad. :slap

Is this a What If? story?

not sure what exactly it is yet since Marvel just put it up today. I just assumed it's just meant to show that Scott's more towards Megneto's way of thinking than that of Prof. X's. I'd be really surprised if that were meant to be literal though

I'm interested and will be checking it out. The pages in your link there look pretty nice.

I thought all Marvel books were What If? stories these days.

One giant What if the Marvel Universe Turned to Crap? crossover that has lasted for a few years so far.
