Interesting, the look reminds me of Grendel Prime.. I'll wait to read it before forming an opinion though. Don't want to jump the gun and condemn it based on some conceptual art. It's possible it could turn out lame, but some new ideas are actually pretty cool if you give 'em a chance.

They didn't change his look much, but I really liked the Mac Gargan Venom era myself...

Same. I knew Brock was the original Venom while growing up, but besides the cartoon, I never really read any of the stuff he was in, so I have no emotional connection to the character, but I really liked gargan as Venom ever since I first started reading the Thunderbolts a few years back and really liked him as Venom.

I don't think the new suit looks bad, although I'm also baffled as to why he would need armor, but I also liked Bleeding Edge Iron Man the moment I saw him so......

The suit is the Venom symbiote, I'd wager. Probably even all the straps and belts, as well. Remember, it can take different forms and even change color to look like civilian clothing.

Well, the symbiote is the body armor in this case. Remember, it can change to look like regular clothes, something that Eddie Brock did many times.

Oh! While I knew the symbiote can turn into clothes, I wasn't aware that it chose to turn into this armor.
It seemed added on to the symbiote base costume.
