I own both systems so I dont care what it comes out on. He is not alienating anyone. Seems the fanboys are already crying. If anything he would be bringing Metal Gear in the homes of WAY more people on the 360 than the PS3.

If the game happens to be a 360 exclusive, then wouldn't you call that alienating? And like I said before, most of the MGS fans dislike Raiden. As such, Kojima has already alienated most of us, by making the new game with Raiden as the main protagonist (give the fans something they want, not something they hate).

But, even if the game isn't an exclusive, I seriously don't have any interest in playing a game with Raiden in the lead role - it'll easily be a pass for me.

I disagree strongly. Metal Gear is as much about the gameplay as the story. Take that away, and I'm not interested.

When you stop and think about it, compare it to other games, MGS4 really does have spectacular gameplay. It feels solid, can't go wrong with it.

I hate when microsoft beaurocrats have to buy evryone with their billions of dollars.
thats the only way they can get the best game director of all times to walk out on there stage.

I hate the DMC gameplay, if it was like that I'd throw up. I'm very interested in this game, but not interest in the 360. I hope it's cross platform...I hate the 360 controller, and I don't want to pay money to game online. By all that is holy, the PS3 needs another MGS title...

Yeah, but even if it is released for the PS3, the "Raiden factor" destroyed the hope of another great MGS game - for most of us, anyway.

I think everyone in here, MGS fan or not has the right to dislike microsoft and their products. Would you as a SONY faithful of 3 consoles straight and after 11 years of MGS games, want the next one announced on the other system?

Should we sole PS3 owners who are also MGS fans (in which MGS has been exclusive on SONY consoles) have to plunk down $400 plus dollars to buy a system we don't want only to play a game that should rightfully be ours?

I guess you didn't like Raiden in MGS4? Did that game stink? It's pretty clear no opinions will get through to impetuous fanboys like you. "Raiden" factor? That's ridiculous. The character has been radically altered, changed because fans didn't like him in MGS2, and I thought the reception of the character in MGS4 was immensely positive. From the 10 second teaser we've seen during E3, Raiden was the only character shown. Okay, obviously there will be other characters in the game, familiar characters (possibly Snake or Big Boss). Whether or not that's true or false has yet to be seen so hold your egregious hate until that happens.

If this were announced for PS3 your tone would be markedly different. Heck, the general tone of this game was pretty positive before today, and I'm not about to attribute that to discovering Raiden MIGHT be the main character. It's the whole Microsoft exclusivity thing.

PS3 owners already got their Metal Gear game. The MGS franchise isn't a loyal dog to Sony, it's been on different platforms before.
