Did they release another Portable Ops Game of the first PSP MGS game?

Here in norway i found MGS:portable Ops PLUS,it looks to be the same game but with extra missions and training like the MGS2 and MGS3 Substence but can`t be sure, anyone know?

Portable Ops Plus has been around for a few years. Unless you're interested in online play, you can skip PO Plus entirely. It's like the MGO for the PSP.

There's no single player storyline whatsoever, just online play, and a bunch of useless side-missions. Honestly, you'll loose interest with the game in a few days. It's a complete pass - just save your money.

I don't think their pun is supposed to be perceived as that complex or elaborate. Kojima and crew love word play......You're thinking too far into it....

Too right! I'll bet $100 Kojima meant 'Rising' to be a callback to the very last line of MGS4.......I mean, how nice and conveinient would it be to have the title of the next game at the end of the previous? .......Wait, could he actually read into the future & know 'Rising' was going to be the name of the next one? Hmm........maybe he just wants to be EPIC!

Wortless then...I will go ebay and try to find the first MGS Portable Ops.

well, either way Metal Gear is still good to me...as long as the story delivers i'll be happy.
~~i'm about an hour into Portable Ops and i really like it.

might be worth downloading as well as FF7. I didnt wanna do it at first cause I got them loaded to my PSP, but I hear there are problems when it comes to the switch disks section.

thats basically why im downloading mgs, cuz i always hated the change disc section.

On the PSP??? I don't think so, how would anyone know that it just came out today lol.

I alreayd got FF7 on my PSP now, MGS..man all my favorite PSX games are coming out for download.

So are you guys downloading MGS specifically to play it on your PSPs? Or will you be playing the game for the first time?

I made sure to download FF 7, and I'm currently playing it on my 60" DLP :monkey5. Sure, the graphics aren't drastically improved on my TV, but it's nice to play one of my favorite games on a huge screen. I already have the PC edition of FF 7, but unfortunately, it doesn't work with Windows Vista.

Im not talking about the version that came out today, the one I have on my PSP atm is from my game disk. Its a eboot, so I need one for each disk which is why I get problems when you get to the disk change section.

I played the game a bunch of times when it first came out, might just download it and FF7 to save my disks from more usage. Not gonna bother with FF7 until I finish Crisis Core though.

Changing the disks definitely sounds like a problem. But, how exactly do you get around changing the controller during the Psycho Mantis battle?

LOL, I had both on launch day back for the PSX and still own them on the discs. I've played FF7 for probably years of my life and most likely have beat MGS 20 times. These were my top 2 games for the PSX and are in my top 3 games of all time, so I'm in heaven having portable versions of each now...A day I long dreamed.

Crisis Core is the best original game on the PSP you can own, I love that game, such a great OST too.

Why couldn't they just retire this franchise and do more original games? Oh wait, it makes money, and sells consoles. I hope that answers your question, Karamazov. PSP needs Big Boss more than the consoles.
So by your thinking, no title(be it movie or games) should ever have a franchise?

No I think he means they should try expanding the library with new IPs instead of just re-hashing new sequels when it comes time to replenish the bank accounts. During the years of development for MGS4 Kojima kept sAying he was done with Snake and that he wanted to move on. (I personally want him to try his luck with an RPG, but that's just me)
