MGS4 has a lazy dumb plot.

MGS1 is the top of the food chain in terms of the series.

Mgs1 is among the greatest games ever made, it may not be up there in terms of graphics, but the expierience and the story is amazing. MGS3 is personally my favourite in terms of story. Would love them to give 1 the HD treatment.

Im not going into this expecting a great story im just getting this as a time killer and because it is related to MG lol. I enjoyed the demo gameplay wise, so im looking forward to playing it tommorow.

Don't expect much in terms of story, I honestly don't understand why Raiden is back in the military after MGS4's ending...

Monsoon, what a pain in the *** fight that was... I think the whole Jack the Ripper scene was pretty ****** chill inducing

I don't know why people like the story... it's so incoherent and has no continuity at all with MGS4's ending. I enjoy the game but I wish it never left Koji Pro's hands, and then maybe it wouldn't be such a button masher with a flat story.

I haven't played it as yet, but from you're saying, I'm happy it turned out that way. From the onset (since it left KojiPro) Rising did not make any sense at all with the MGS storyline - glad it doesn't seem to be canon.

The loonacy of the mass cyborgs and insane technological jump from MGS4 truly makes it non-canon. MGS4 still had insane tech, but it still felt like real world achievable technology albeit hundreds of years from now

But picking up Metal Gear RAY, like really?

In case anyone is wondering, I can say this to make you feel better... absolutely no mention of Solid Snake whatsoever... so far anyway.

I will keep all my posts spoiler free since everyone else that has played it is doing the same

Without spoiling anything, YES! MUCH, MUCH WORSE. I've been trying for hours now! At least the boss you mentioned had a pattern that I can predict. This boss is just cheap and STUPID! I need a smoke.

Here's another tip for all the bosses: DO NOT save, or customize after you loose a Repair Nanopaste, or else if you quit it will be gone forever and you'll start a battle without the nanopaste. I had to restart at least two frikkin' levels because of this! A bug I guess.

I can beat all MGS games on extreme (have platinumed all of them), but not this. I guess I'm not good at this.

I don't know why the Gekkou were made so tough in this game, Raiden took down a herd of them on his own without breaking much of a sweat and in MGR in his new body they still are annoying

It's worthy of a buy if you're a MGS fan, but don't get the game for the story

Visually it's beautiful.

The RAY boss battle might be one of the most epic large scale fights I've ever seen.

That boss fight alone made my purchase worth it. I especially love that it is not just a series of QTEs. They actually attempted to incoporate gameplay into it.

Yeah, the only QTE if you could even call it that is the Zandatsu screens which I didn't even figure out until a little into the game. I didn't realize when you see the symbol you can chop the enemy up

That caught me offguard at first too. This game has me foaming at the mouth to get the Play Arts Kai Raiden figure. I must add it to the collection.

Yeah it definitely will be the "sexiest" if I can call it that of that whole line. I'm going to see if I can get the UK limited edition with the White version but I think that one comes out on the 22nd.
