Ok I need to get on that. I like the discount to the Konami Store that was included in the game. it's $15 off, so I may try to wait until they get the figs. Either way I will have Raiden to join my Elite Play Arts Corp.

Phew. I FINALLY beaten the game after that FRUSTRATING final boss, I can't wait to hear how other members beat him (talkin' to you Plissken).

I guess I suck at Japanese action games as I'm more of a Arkham City type of guy. Give me any of Batman's Combat Challenge and I'll beat them in my sleep.

I bought the MGS4 skin but you need to the purchase it in-game! No way one could do that on the first playtrough, as you'll need the points for other upgrades.

Personally, I'd give this game a solid 8.5. While the combat is deep and rewarding, the level design is honestly, uninspiring. A sewer level in a 2013 game? More empty Japanese offices? The outdoor rooftops were great though! So here's what I think:

The good:
- Combat.
- Graphics and framerate.
- Soundtrack is kick@$$
- Cutscenes are entertaining without relying on Johnny syndrome jokes.
- Reference to the Metal Gear lore.

The bad:
- Sometimes bland level design.
- Sometimes unhelpful camera.
- Codec calls during gameplay kills the pacing.
- Cursing! Good lord do we really need the bosses to spew out the four letter word in our Metal Gear?
- Final boss expects you to MASTER the gameplay by then, or DIE!

I get home in about 2 hours and I will have a solid 6 hours with it before bed so I might have it done by then, although if not tonight definitely tomorrow.

Did you get the Gray Fox skin too? The guy at Gamestop told my girlfriend when she picked it up that it wasn't working and they were trying to get in touch with Konami about it and that I shouldn't use it yet.

Nope, my regular US copy didn't came with that. As far as I know only the 360 version of the Gray Fox code isn't online yet. Maybe you'd wanna try again?

I didn't try mine at all yet, if it's only 360 I guess the PS3 should work... who knows.

I got in touch with Konami, they need a copy of my receipt so I can get a replacement lamp.

I'm sure the code could be redeemed by now. I can't purchase the MGS4 skin when I first got the game few days ago.

Yes you DON'T want to purchase the costume during your first playtrough as it cost a lot of BP points. Besides, the cutscenes are pre-rendered so that will ruin the illusion on the 1st playtrough.

I love this game. It looks great, it handles great, it plays great, it sounds great. And i do also feel like an ultimate badass just for playing. I feel like im being extremely quick in my button management, and fighting tactics and i take down gekkos+soldiers with ease

Is there an option once completed to stop enemies from blowing up after you've killed them?

Once their detonated that's it. There are mini bosses sort of, like Gekkous and REX rip off walking tanks, and Spider walker things.

I really like DMC but this game is so much better.
