In regards of the sculpt, I can definitely see Liquid there, maybe a little more cheekbone and the ears a little closer to the head, but picturing it with the blond hair and eyebrows, I think you're in the right track, very nice indeed.

Edit: Oh yeah, and by looking at the pics and sketches, the profile chin seems to be a little behind the nose, while the chin in your sculpt is a little ahead of the nose, it doesn't show while you look it from the front, but if you look it side ways it looks a little more "brute" y'know?

Those are my humble observations.

The same way you can remove MGS4 or MGS3 and the story wouldn't be altered to that point, but the story in MGS PW complements the overall plot, and no, it does explain A LOT of the MGS universe.

Plus, Ground zeroes is taking part AFTER PW using characters of such game and continuing parts of it's plot, to say it wouldn't disrupt the continuity is false.

Yup, are you kidding? Most of MGS2 you play like Raiden and through it's point of view, enough said.

The plot in PW while being just as complicated is more stylised and more compelling.

Maybe you should quit the fanboy b.s., and think through things clearly before typing nonsense. The entire series has already been scripted from start to finish with the releases of MGS 1 through 4, so the inclusion or exclusion of Peace Walker (with a setting in an obscure timeline) doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of the overall plot. Peace Walker is nothing more than a side-story, and there are many fans who haven't even bothered to play the game for that very reason.

There was a lot more to MGS 2 than just playing as Raiden :dunno.

Well I'll have you know that without that little "side story" there wouldn't even be any of the following games.

Without Project Peace walker or Huey there wouldn't be any REX, without Dr. Strangelove there wouldn't even be any AI's, nor nanomachines nor "system", and without PW there wouldn't even be any outer heaven, etc etc. yeah, cute little side story.

Maybe you should stop arguing about a franchise you clearly know nothing about :clap not being a fanboy, I'm just stating facts, you're welcome to ignore them, they won't stop being true.

The game is not only from MGS1 to 4, Kojima started writing the plot in the NES times, he began with MG, MG2 , and so on (Which MGS4 refers to both games in several occasions), the story has been made richer with every game, the plot was not "already scripted", and PW is not set in an "obscure timeline" it's set 10 years after MGS3 and 2 years after Les Enfants, in fact, MGS4's plot connects many times with PW as well as with the rest of the games and I bet you that a big chunk of Ground Zeroes will follow after the events of PW.

And wrong the only real fans that didn't play the game were the ones that didn't have a psp at the time cause the game was sold and pirated like hot bread and the PW HD sold also nicely for an HD compilation of games.

"fanboy bs" HA! I'm still giggling at your dilettantism.

Peace Walker added nothing new to the dialog, aside from Big Boss' continued pining over The Boss' death, and his coming to realization in the end that he was "Big Boss" - which, for all intensive purposes, had already happened in Portable Ops. The only things that I can think of that even connects Peace Walker's storyline to MGS 4's, was Big Mamma's speech, and Big Boss' farewell speech to Old Snake. Peace Walker served as a discourse of what they were discussing, but in greater detail; most of which was quite unnecessary, since the relevant aspects of Big Boss' back-story were already thoroughly analyzed to ad-nauseam in MGS 4. This again, goes back to my point, that the entire chapter of Peace Walker is unnecessary for the the main saga of the series. The same can be said for Ground Zeroes since it follows directly from the plot of PW.

I'm not sure how well the HD Edition sold, but from many of the constant inquiries on this forum as well as from the PSU, it's pretty clear that a great number of people have still not played Peace Walker to this day. Things might change when the release date for Ground Zeroes approaches, since people will want to get caught up on the previous game.

Really now :slap. Peace Walker was added in after the entire series had concluded. To say that all of the games wouldn't have existed without it makes no sense at all. For the sanity of the storyline, it would have been better if Huey and Strangelove were never included, as it gives rise to several inconsistencies. Metal Gear REX was originally created by Otacon in MGS 1; he designed it to resemble the giant robots that he had seen in Japanese anime. "Huey" was never involved in its creation until Kojima decided to retcon the damn story in Peace Walker and make it so.

The only thing that Dr. Strangelove did was create AI systems that were way too technologically advanced for the timeline of Peace Walker in the 70s. There is no reason for why the Peace Walker mech had to make Metal Gear REX look like a toaster oven by comparison, when in fact, it was several decades older than REX.

Kojima started writing the plot in the NES times, he began with MG, MG2 , and so on (Which MGS4 refers to both games in several occasions),

The original scripts for MG 1 and 2 were pretty atrocious, to say the least. MGS 1 served as a reboot for the entire franchise (hence, Metal Gear "Solid"), and helped to reintroduce the script from the old games.

On a final note, I do like it when random guys such as yourself pop into the forum now and again. You most likely got your information from the likes of Wikipedia and decided to drop in and act like a bad-*** know-it-all. You aren't going to get anywhere with that kind of attitude :wave

Hey guys, update on custom 1/6 resin Vulcan Raven.

Finalised the belt and shoulder-pad that holds the Raven to his shoulder. Fixed the ammo-belt and did some finishing touches, like veins in his arms... Its officially complete, unpainted-wise.

I was gonna paint this myself, but decided not to... Instead I'm gonna have a professional spray paint it and such... but unfortunately he won't be able to start it before November. :(

But I guess good things come to those who wait? :) I want this to be perfect, don't want to mess it up with my level of painting skills, would rather have a pro do it.

Looking good!! :clap

November is a long time to wait, though. Did you inquire in the customs section? There's probably someone who'll be able to do it for you sooner.

I would... but I don't think I wanna risk having to ship out this beast. :( Best have it done locally, y'know? He's heavy as **** and his arms are very fragile.

Gonna have the same guy who's painting my Kotobukiya Rex do it.

even MGS fans can't get along? I'm a big MGS fan and I didn't like MGS 2. Love 1,3, PW. 4 was just alright for me. Still looking forward to Ground Zero. Can we all just get along? I do agree we should get a game starring Solid Snake again though.

Amazing! That's so Raven!

The problem isn't about getting along, or that we even have to agree on everything. It's when folks who've just registered their accounts, decide to pop in, become antagonistic, and wax greatly their "knowledge" (that they seemingly read off of another source) to everyone else. Anyone who has played the MGS series in its entirety would be able to acknowledge the series' shortcomings and inconsistencies. I also like Peace Walker - it's a fun game, but it was far from a good MGS game, in my opinion.

mgs2 was one of the best mgs games. gaspar didnt like playing as raiden because of his pent up homosexual feelings toward him. so he avoided playing it as much as he could because of the pain of knowing he cant have him due to the fact that hes pixelated. i believe in my heart he will find someone someday. it just cant be raiden. in the meantime he takes as much "snake" as he can get. which makes him very happy. dunno maybe im wrong.

I really don't see how anyone can say the revoltech face sculpt isn't bad.

I'm not one to slander anything MGS related but come on, look at it.
Even for an 'anime' style it's still really bad. i own some revoltech figures and they all look far better.

If they had done the face sculpt better and actually in an anime style then it wouldn't look so much like a monkey, it's just badly done whether it's taken from the ashley wood artwork or not.

I find it really interesting how people can say that MGS4 PW etc are the best MGS but don't necessarily like the say MGS2, if nothing else MGS 1 & 2 and 3 are really want the whole game is about anything after that diluted what it was. They could have easily not made any other MGS bar MGS4 and it wouldn't make a difference

How old are you may i ask? i wonder if it's an age thing

If I had to rate the Post MG and MG2 Solid Snake games in an order, it would be in this order:

MGS1
MGS Peace Walker
MGS2
MGS3
MGS Portable Ops

If somebody was to come to me after never playing MGS solid before and asked which i think they should play i'd tell them to just play 1,2,3,4

Theres no need to play the others and if anything they make you dislike Big Boss saga even more. I my opinion obviously

i disagree about peacewalker the story was crap but the gameplay was awesome. yanov i would have put them in order of release (including mgs4) and not have included any psp games.
