MGS2 completely reinvented the gaming industry and was the first "action movie" video game.

Without MGS2, gaming wouldn't be what it is today, period.

My Koto REX finally arrives tomorrow! I'm gonna start assembling it on the weekend. No idea how I'm going to paint the camouflage though .

My Koto REX finally arrives tomorrow! I'm gonna start assembling it on the weekend. No idea how I'm going to pain the camouflage though .

I get mine tomorrow. I'm going to buy maybe 4 of these Gundam bases to somewhat recreate the Supply Route room where you battle REX.

I think if you build it in a L shape it should look pretty neat

I'm almost compelled to go sit in a warhammer shop and give the base paint a go myself

Damn right it's a steal, you can even stack the walls on top of each other seeing how that specific room was twice the height of REX almost. The seller is away until the 17th

I just typed in Gundam Base since Gundam Hangar didn't really render and good results of what I needed. Lights are custom jobs although rigging a LED system shouldn't be too difficult if you're electrically inclined.

I think I'm going to spray the part trees with several layers of a base color first... then snap the individual parts together and pray to the Lord that everything doesn't fall apart when I'm trying to add in the camouflage .

Yeah I would want to give REX as much shoulder room as possible since it gives the illusion of a complete room.

I've seen pics of REX with the BAF RAY and they're basically in the same scale.

Yanov has his painted by a friend and it came out perfectly, I've suggested to him if his friend would take commissions but he never acknowledged me even asking

Is there a place on SSC where we can start a thread to see if a painter would do commissions for all of us? I don't have any problem dropping 100$ to get REX and the minifigs painted.

Maybe someone should message Yanov and ask him again. I'm going to bed now, so... maybe one of you guys can do it, or I'll do it when I get up .

I only have the BAF figure in all the unopened mgs2 figures. I haven't found a complete figure for a decent price

So how many of these are you guys going to buy to give it the right look?
I'm pretty new to the build your own figure/base concept so i don't even really understand what i'm looking at here

The only thing hurting the Koto REX is it's scale, but it can do 10 times the amount of things the 3A version can do and it comes with minifigs of Snake, Liquid and Fox!
